Story
Rana was dumped in someone's yard who brought her to MARF to find her a home. She a sassy little girl who bosses the big dogs around in the foster home, since she is a HERDING BREED MIX of Blue Heeler and who knows what?!She is full of love and energy to spare, stays right with the foster mom as she walks the farm checking on the horses, goats and chickens, which she has interacted with but does not bother. She is house and crate trained, knows the word NO, and comes when she is called. She loves to play outside with the other dogs in the foster home, so must have a securely fenced yard to play and potty in, along with another playful dog in the home to play with. She loves her dog toys, her chew bones and will bring you a toy.She is highly intelligent, easily trained, easy to handle (according to the foster mom) and won't get past a medium sized dog.Foster mom says she is "the perfect puppy to foster". She gets a little bossy at Petco, trying to be Alpha, so be aware, that she cannot be with another Alpha in the home and make sure you know the herding breed. They HERD! She is great with the foster's granddaughter (but they are also used to herders). She is FULLY VETTED and her adoption fee is $350 Apply at Madisonarf.org

Story
Morty is most likely a 2021 model. We were curious about his genetic makeup so we did an Embark DNA test on him and he is 50% Australian Cattle Dog, 13% Rottweiler, and some other mixes stirred in. As a Cattle Dog, he is athletic and wants to herd things, including dog buddies, which they don't tend to like. He does well with one other pet, preferably a female, his size and energy level, or older dogs that just ignore him wanting to play. He loves walks and does well on a leash. He could be a great jogging companion. He is very focused on his people and honestly gets jealous. He can be an attention hog. He will learn anything for a treat or a pat on the head. He loves toys and fetch. He still occasionally jumps up to say hi, so small children may not be for him. He is fully vetted, neutered and chipped. Are you his family? Meet Pumpkin Spice, your perfect fall-flavored fur friend! Just like your favorite seasonal latte, she's full of sweetness with a little extra spice. Pumpkin Spice gets along great with her doggie roommates-think of them as her cozy coffee shop crew. She's doing awesome learning to walk on a leash, even if she sometimes takes a detour like she's sniffing out the perfect pumpkin patch! And when it comes to using the doggie door, she's a total pro-like a barista who's mastered the espresso machine. If you're looking for a pup who's playful, sweet, and guaranteed to warm your heart (just like your favorite fall drink), Pumpkin Spice is ready to be your cuddle buddy for all those crisp autumn nights!
