Hi, I'm Hank. It's my turn to tell my story. I was a lone ranger for awhile. Until I met this really nice family. They gave me so much love. But, they told me that it was my turn for a forever family. So, I'm here now. It's actually not too bad. I get to be around people, which is my favorite thing in the world. I don't like to be alone. It scares me. I love to talk to people. Sometimes, when I smile, people get scared and think I'm growling at them. I'm not, I'm just smiling!! I would prefer to be in the house with my humans all the time. I mean, of course I go potty outside, but my place is by your side! Little humans freak me out. I never know what their going to do. That's scary!! But I think that if I got to know them, and made sure that they won't hurt me, I would be okay with that. I don't mind other dogs, but I would prefer to be the one and only. Other dogs scare me a little. So I go the other way, to not make any trouble. I love to play fetch, or tug of war with a rope! It makes me smile, a lot!! Ranger is a big, furry lump of love. He loves people, is crate trained, and does moderately on a leash. He doesn't seem to have much training experience, but he is very trainable. Super smart. It is hard to say whether he is dog friendly because our shelter is full of dogs in kennels and that plays a big part in the way our dogs behave. He is quite reactive through the kennel bars but we don't feel he would attack a dog if face-to-face. Ranger and his brother, Ricky, were found being mistreated at their home and after jumping a few hoops we got them into our custody. We prefer they are adopted out separately into an adult-only home to be the only dog, however, with a slow and proper introduction they may do well with your other pets. Ranger is a good boy with a big smile and would love to be adopted by you!

He is not as tall as a full-size Lab because of his mix and being on the shorter side like his mom, he however is stocky...Nanook Currently weighs about 55Lbs. He is such a sweet handsome bear. His foster mom is currently teaching him to play ball, but he doesn't get the concept of bringing it back yet. LOL.... Nanook is also a talker (Not to be confused with barker) He makes noises when trying to get your attention and while playing! He would do well in the country or on a farm, he does not need a fenced yard, he sticks around. Nanook just wants to be someone's best buddy. He will make a perfect best friend.
