Bill is a 3-year-old neutered Queensland boy who’s spent most of his life outdoors. True to his breed, he is high-energy and would thrive with a job and the appropriate mental and physical engagement. He does have a history of chasing cattle—and cats—so he’s best suited as a companion dog with a savvy owner or a ranch that can safely provide the appropriate separation between him and the farm animals. Bill has been known to be a bit of an escape artist, so secure fencing is a must. Bill is naturally submissive, gentle at heart, and incredibly sweet once he feels safe. He’s still learning that people are pretty great, and with patience and kindness he’s starting to really enjoy human company. Bill would thrive with a calm, understanding owner who can help him continue building confidence and show him what being a loved dog is all about. He did live previously with other female dogs but would need slow and appropriate introductions to other dogs to determine if they will be a good match.

Do you have a job that needs doing? I need a job! I am a smart and busy guy and would love a busy person who had chores to do and I could come along. My name is August and I am a 2 year old heeler mix, found in Paso Robles and not redeemed. I am great at fetch and will play endlessly, making me super easy to exercise. My best home would be one where I was busy all day being your companion and best bud and we did activities together - could be work or it could be play, like hiking, biking etc. I would likely be best in an adult only home or one with older, dog savvy kids.
