Story
Calling all Cattle Dog lovers!!! Gypsy was found wandering in Loxahatchee. A Good Samaritan stumbled upon her and reached out for help. One of our volunteers is an avid herding dog momma and just knew she had to step in to avoid this little gal going to ACC. We spoke with ACC and they said she was able to do Gypsy’s 10 days stray hold in the comfort of a home. A huge win since herding dogs do very poorly in a shelter environment. Gypsy is 44lbs, thought to be around 2 and true to her heeler breed. Her foster momma could rave and rave about her but she said she would like to summarize Gypsy as follows: “the dog that will without doubt turn into your heart dog eventually”. She’s sweet, special, silly and extremely devoted to her humans. If you are looking for a true best friend, look no further, we’ve got you covered. To match her amazing temperament; can we talk about this stunning coat 😍 talk about fierce looking. She’s even adorned with the infamous Bentley star on her head (if you know, you know). Gypsy was sadly heartworm positive is in treatment but she will be available for meet and greets and potential adoption as long as potential adopters can agree to commit to her heartworm treatment which financially will be 100% covered and our rescue team will guide you through. Get in line! We know there will be a lot of excitement over this gal and we are so looking forward to matching her with some forever humans.

Story
Anola is a sweet and lovable pup with a big heart and a soft spot for the simple joys in life. She *lives* for cozy naps, happily curling up anywhere warm and quiet. A big fan of belly rubs and head scratches, Anola adores being pet and will nudge your hand if you ever stop too soon. When she’s not snoozing, she’s playing—Anola loves her toys and can often be found proudly parading them around the house. Treats? Absolutely. Say the word, and you’ve got her full attention. Loving, playful, and always ready for a cookie, Anola makes every day a little brighter. Not ready to adopt, no problem. I'm also available to foster! Ask an adoption coordinator about the Couch Surfer Foster Program!

Story
Meet Spot: Spot is a 4-year-old cattle dog mix with a big heart and a busy brain. He first came to us as a transfer from Palm Beach County in 2022. After being adopted, Spot was returned because it turned out he needed a more experienced adopter who could better meet his needs—it was simply not the right fit. Spot is a little under-socialized, which means he hasn’t had enough chances to learn about the world yet. With time, patience, and training, he can grow more confident and comfortable. He would do best with a handler who enjoys teaching and is willing to spend time helping him succeed. Spot can get frustrated when there is a barrier, like a window or a fence, but this does not mean he is aggressive. He is still learning how to manage his excitement and feelings in those moments. He does well with other dogs and can make friends when given slow, proper introductions. With structure, guidance, and kindness, Spot has so much potential to shine. Spot is looking for a home that understands him and is ready to help him learn and grow. In return, he’ll be a loyal companion who just needs the right person on his team.

Story
🐾 Caimi and Her 8 Precious Pups – Rescued from Georgia 🐾 Sweet Caimi and her eight adorable puppies were rescued from a shelter in Georgia, where their future was uncertain. Most county shelters simply don’t have the space, staff, or resources to care for a mom and her newborns, so when this little family needed help, Big Dog Ranch Rescue didn’t hesitate to step in. Now safe in our care, Caimi and her babies are getting everything they need — medical attention, good nutrition, and most importantly, love. Caimi can finally rest easy knowing her pups are warm, fed, and cared for. Each day they’re growing stronger, learning, and showing more of their sweet, playful personalities. Before long, Caimi and her pups will be ready to find their forever homes — families who will love them as much as we do. ❤️ Can you make a place in your heart for a rescue pup? Every adoption helps save another life in need.
