Story
Meet Aloka! This handsome 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix weighs about 42 pounds and carries himself with a calm confidence that immediately draws you in. When we first met him, Aloka was sitting quietly and peacefully in his run, just observing the world with soft eyes and a gentle presence.  Aloka is a happy boy who clearly enjoys life, but he’s not go-go-go all the time. Yes, he has that wonderful Cattle Dog energy and enthusiasm, but he also knows how to settle, relax, and just be. He’s the type who’s ready for an adventure when it’s time to move, then content to chill by your side once the day slows down. True to the spirit behind his name — inspired by the Peace Dog who walks alongside monks — Aloka has a balanced, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to be around. He’s affectionate, alert, and thoughtful, with a personality that feels both steady and warm. Aloka would be a great match for someone who appreciates an active dog with an off switch — a companion for walks, play, and exploration, but also for quiet evenings and peaceful moments at home. If you’re looking for a dog who brings both joy and calm into your life, Aloka might just be your perfect match. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Tucker is a cattle dog mix with a soft soul and an even softer spot for cuddles. His expressive eyes and sweet demeanor make it easy to fall in love, but his gentle, affectionate nature truly sets him apart. Tucker thrives on close bonds and adores nothing more than curling up in your lap—he even loves being held like a baby. He’s a true cuddlebug! He is looking for a home without other pets or children. He’ll do best with experienced adopters who can give him the attention and one-on-one companionship he craves. If you're searching for a devoted companion who just wants to be by your side (or in your arms), Tucker may be the perfect match. Tucker is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines!

Story
Big-hearted, playful, and the definition of a loyal companion. Bleu is a handsome, fun-loving guy who’s happiest when life feels like one big playdate. He loves to play fetch and romp around the yard, and he enjoys the company of other dogs—he’s the friend who always shows up ready to have a good time. When the playing is done, Bleu melts right into cuddle mode. He loves curling up on the couch, leaning in close, and giving those sweet, heart-melting kisses that make you feel like you’re his whole world. Bleu has great house manners—no crate needed and no potty accidents. He sits on command, has good recall, and is eager to please. Like many big-hearted pups, he gets excited on leash and during mealtime, but with consistency (and his slow-feeder bowl!), he’s learning good habits every day. Bleu would thrive in a home that enjoys an active, playful dog and also appreciates his affectionate, snuggly side. If you're looking for a companion who will make you smile every day—Bleu just might be your guy. Our adoption fee is $350 for dogs over 5 months of age and includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter, micro chip implantation and registration/transfer, heartworm test and much more. Puppies up to 6 months of age are $400 and this includes all sets of puppy vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip implantation and registration and more. To adopt, go to www.fosterpetoutreach.org to complete an application. Please note: Foster Pet Outreach tries to limit our adoptions to an area within approximately 60 miles of Peoria, Illinois.

Story
Scoob is a 8-month-old Aussie mix who is absolutely thriving in his foster home and showing just how special of a pup he is. You can tell his previous family put time and love into him, and in the last week especially, Scoob has really polished up his manners and confidence. He’s fully house trained with zero accidents, knows sit, leave it, and lay down, and is eager to respond to guidance. Scoob was a bit mouthy when he first arrived, but that behavior has nearly disappeared. If he does get playful and forget himself, he responds immediately to a simple “no mouth” and often opts for snuggles instead. He also redirects beautifully to an antler when he’s feeling extra playful. Scoob enjoys having freedom in the home and does great being left out at night, happily snoozing on the couch without getting into trouble. While he prefers not to be crated when people are home, he does excellent in a crate when left alone—going right in, settling with his antler, and not making a peep. Personality-wise, Scoob is a perfect blend of independent and cuddly. He’s happy to entertain himself, but don’t be surprised if he suddenly decides he’s a lap dog and needs to be right next to you. He loves running in the yard, going for walks, chewing on a good bone, and playing with toys (with the occasional stuffed dinosaur casualty—purely accidental, of course). Scoob does well with other large dogs and would love a playful canine companion. Due to his prey drive, a home without cats or small animals is recommended. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he’s best suited for a home with older children. A securely fenced yard is ideal, as Scoob loves outdoor play and prefers not to potty on a leash or tie-out. Still very much a puppy, Scoob will continue to benefit from consistent training, structure, and an active lifestyle. In return, he offers loyalty, affection, and a whole lot of joy. He truly is an amazing pup ready for a forever home that will keep nurturing the great dog he’s becoming. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Zayne is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 38 pounds who was found as a stray with his brother, Bayne. While their early story is a mystery, Zayne is very much an open book when it comes to affection and joy. He’s the confident brother, greeting the world with a happy tail and a big heart. Zayne is extremely friendly, outgoing, and eager to soak up all the attention he can get. If you’re looking for a dog who believes there is no such thing as too much love, Zayne is your guy. He’s always ready for pets, praise, and companionship. Zayne enjoys having his brother around and clearly values canine companionship, but he does not need to be adopted with Bayne. He'd likely love to have a canine companion in his future home. He would do well in a home ready to embrace his affectionate, social personality and give him plenty of love in return. Zayne is the kind of dog who makes fast friends and fills a home with happiness. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. Story
Bayne is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 48 pounds who came to us as a stray with his brother, Zayne. While we don’t know much about his past, Bayne has shown himself to be a friendly, happy-go-lucky guy. He’s a little more reserved than his brother at first, but once he’s comfortable, Bayne is social, affectionate, and happy to be part of whatever’s going on. One of his most charming traits is his silly toothy grin. When Bayne is feeling good, he flashes a big smile that’s impossible not to love. Bayne enjoys the company of his brother, but he does not need to be adopted with Zayne. He'd likely love a canine companion in his future home. With his kind personality and lovable smile, Bayne is sure to win hearts wherever he goes.
