Osiris may take a little time to warm up, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover a goofy, loyal best friend with a heart that’s absolutely worth the wait. This 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (61 lbs) is house-trained, quietly intelligent, and full of personality once he feels safe. At first, he takes his time getting to know new people, but he’s already shown what’s possible when someone invests in him. The staff at Wish Bone took that time, and now they get to see the real Osiris—goofy, playful, and affectionate. He’s a classic “watch first, trust later” kind of guy. In a home environment, you’ll often find him lounging on the couch, keeping tabs on the outside world like it’s his favorite reality show. But when he’s comfortable? Cue the zoomies. His silly side comes alive, especially enjoying his favorite toys. Osiris enjoys walks, car rides, and a good chew session, and he generally walks nicely on leash…unless a critter makes a guest appearance. Then his herding instincts kick in and it’s game on. He can also be a bit mouthy in play, and needs an adopter willing to work with him on manners. Because he startles easily and is still building confidence, Osiris is looking for an adult-only home with someone experienced in herding breeds. This 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (61 lbs) is house-trained, quietly intelligent, and full of personality once he feels safe. At first, he takes his time getting to know new people, but he’s already shown what’s possible when someone invests in him. The staff at Wish Bone took that time, and now they get to see the real Osiris—goofy, playful, and affectionate. He’s a classic “watch first, trust later” kind of guy. In a home environment, you’ll often find him lounging on the couch, keeping tabs on the outside world like it’s his favorite reality show. But when he’s comfortable? Cue the zoomies. His silly side comes alive, especially enjoying his favorite toys. Osiris enjoys walks, car rides, and a good chew session, and he generally walks nicely on leash…unless a critter makes a guest appearance. Then his herding instincts kick in and it’s game on. He can also be a bit mouthy in play, and needs an adopter willing to work with him on manners. Because he startles easily and is still building confidence, Osiris is looking for an adult-only home with someone experienced in herding breeds. He’ll do best in a quieter home with few visitors, or one where he has a safe, comfortable space to retreat to when company comes over.
