Osiris may take a little time to warm up, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll discover a goofy, loyal best friend with a heart that’s absolutely worth the wait. This 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (61 lbs) is house-trained, quietly intelligent, and full of personality once he feels safe. At first, he takes his time getting to know new people, but he’s already shown what’s possible when someone invests in him. The staff at Wish Bone took that time, and now they get to see the real Osiris—goofy, playful, and affectionate. He’s a classic “watch first, trust later” kind of guy. In a home environment, you’ll often find him lounging on the couch, keeping tabs on the outside world like it’s his favorite reality show. But when he’s comfortable? Cue the zoomies. His silly side comes alive, especially enjoying his favorite toys. Osiris enjoys walks, car rides, and a good chew session, and he generally walks nicely on leash…unless a critter makes a guest appearance. Then his herding instincts kick in and it’s game on. He can also be a bit mouthy in play, and needs an adopter willing to work with him on manners. Because he startles easily and is still building confidence, Osiris is looking for an adult-only home with someone experienced in herding breeds. Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match.
