Story
Milo is an approximately 5 years old rescue cattle dog mix from the east coast. Due to the international relocation of his human to a situation which is not able to accommodate him, he is looking for a new home with patience and love. He is very well trained with an expansive panel of functional and just-for-fun tricks and underwent a significant degree of service training, but due to his insecurity in public did not make it to full-time work. As a nervous herding breed, Milo would not do well in a home with children or free-roaming small animals. Milo is selective about his fellow canine friends and previously showed mild resource guarding but was able to work through it while in a multidog house for a short period of time. Milo is looking for a home with someone who can provide him with daily enrichment and physical activity, and who will be patient with him as he adjusts to this large change and learns to trust and love them as he has with his human for the last several years.

Story
Since moving to a new home, I’ve noticed a significant change in Dakota’s behavior and overall demeanor. She has become more territorial and has nipped at a couple of people. One incident occurred when my son came over to dog sit, and another happened during a grooming/boarding visit. She also becomes extremely reactive when she sees my grandson through the fence, barking excessively and seeming unable to settle down. On one occasion, she wrapped her leash around me and tangled my legs to the point that I was nearly injured. I work long hours and frequently babysit my grandchildren in my home, so I’m increasingly concerned about their safety with Dakota around. We’ve tried increasing her exercise, but unfortunately, it hasn’t made a noticeable difference in her behavior.
