Story
Madra is a 3-year-old sweetheart with a friendly, loving personality. She loves belly rubs, enjoys being close to her people, and likes to believe she is a lap dog who is always ready to snuggle with her people. Madra is a happy, low-maintenance companion who is content with a relaxed lifestyle. She's happily lived with other dogs and cats before, and she knows "sit," "paw," and "down" and is always eager to show off her manners for a treat. She would be happiest in a home without stairs where she can stay comfortable and enjoy the easygoing life she loves. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will happily soak up all the love and belly rubs you have to offer, Madra could be the perfect fit! Apply today to meet this lovable girl. All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Meet Captain Morgan, a handsome little Heeler mix ready to set sail for his forever home! Captain Morgan was born around August 6, 2026, and currently weighs about 5–6 pounds. He is expected to grow into a medium-sized adult. Like any puppy, he is curious, playful, social, and ready to learn all about the world around him. As a Heeler mix, Captain Morgan will thrive in an active home that understands these dogs need more than just a few walks around the block. He will need plenty of physical exercise as well as activities that keep his smart little brain busy. Training, interactive toys, games, and opportunities to learn new things will help him grow into a happy, well-rounded adult. Captain Morgan is still a puppy, which means his forever family should be prepared for all the fun that comes with puppyhood, including house training, crate training, basic obedience, socialization, and learning appropriate puppy manners. He may be small right now, but there is a lot of growing and learning ahead! If you are looking for a puppy who can grow right alongside you and become your adventure buddy for years to come, Captain Morgan would love to meet you. His minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Uno is a 1-year-old Heeler mix who weighs 33 pounds and is basically a bundle of happy, goofy energy. He’s friendly, outgoing, loyal, and happiest when he’s part of the action. Whether he’s following his people around, carrying a toy, playing fetch, wrestling with his canine foster brother, or curling up for a nap, Uno is always ready to have a good time. Uno loves other dogs, and having a playful canine companion in his forever home would be a big plus. He seems much more comfortable when he has a doggy buddy around and has shown some separation distress when left without one, so we think another friendly, playful dog would help him thrive. He’s still very much a young dog and has plenty of energy to burn. A securely fenced yard is important for Uno, giving him a safe place to run and play while he continues working on his leash skills. He also has a strong prey drive, so a home without small animals would be the best fit. His favorite hobbies currently include fetch, chewing, and occasionally landscaping the yard, so his new family should be prepared to provide plenty of exercise and appropriate outlets for his energy. Uno is house trained, although he may have an occasional accident while adjusting to a new routine. He’s friendly with people and dogs and can live with cats, although his idea of respecting a cat’s personal space is still a work in progress. He can also be quite the neighborhood watchman, enthusiastically announcing interesting noises and activity outside. His volume is impressive, so he’ll do best with a family who won’t mind a dog who likes to share his opinions. Uno can get overly excited and may jump up or nibble during play, and he’s still learning that shoes aren’t chew toys, so older kids or teenagers would likely be the best fit. With continued training, plenty of activity, and a canine buddy to help keep him company, Uno has all the makings of a wonderful, fun-loving companion. His minimum adoption fee is $250 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
