Story
Milo is an approximately 5 years old rescue cattle dog mix from the east coast. Due to the international relocation of his human to a situation which is not able to accommodate him, he is looking for a new home with patience and love. He is very well trained with an expansive panel of functional and just-for-fun tricks and underwent a significant degree of service training, but due to his insecurity in public did not make it to full-time work. As a nervous herding breed, Milo would not do well in a home with children or free-roaming small animals. Milo is selective about his fellow canine friends and previously showed mild resource guarding but was able to work through it while in a multidog house for a short period of time. Milo is looking for a home with someone who can provide him with daily enrichment and physical activity, and who will be patient with him as he adjusts to this large change and learns to trust and love them as he has with his human for the last several years.

Vigo is a 2 year old male Australian Cattle Dog mix available for adoption from The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (AWL) since 10/9/24. Vigo loves going out for walks, frolicking in a fenced yard, and will gladly sit for treats. Vigo still very much acts like a puppy, is a big time goof ball, and LOVES attention from all the staff at the shelter! Vigo has lots of energy and would thrive with an active family or as a farm dog! Vigo is dog selective. Vigo has a few dogs he loves at the shelter and a few he`s not so fond of! A meet and greet is required to ensure good fit if other dogs are in your home. Vigo is looking for his best friend. Could that be you? Vigo is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on all of his shots. Vigo is looking for his best friend. Could that be you?
