✨Sheldon✨ 🎂 Approximate birthday: 2/12/23 🦴 Breed: Mix breed - Heeler/? ⚖️ Weight: 💔 This poor guy's owner passed away and his world was turned upside down, and euthanasia scheduled if we couldn't intervene. So we took a chance, but adoptions, rescues, and fosters are still crucial. We're committed to providing safe havens, but we need space to do so, or we'll face incredibly tough decisions. Sheldon is a sweet guy but still doesn’t understand why he’s not in his home on a couch instead of locked up at the shelter. 🐶 He has not been tested yet. 👧 He has been fine with our dog savy kid tester. Ashton’s 8 years and has always been around animals since she was born. 🐱 He has not been tested yet. ✅ He is FULLY vetted already 🫀🪱He has not been tested yet 💲His adoption fee is $125 which includes includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (Rabies, parvo/distemper/lepto, and kennel cough), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm prevention while in our care, and microchip. 🏡 Apply to to give him a furever home through our online application https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MKY/Dog 🪪 We require a valid drivers license for background check. 😍 We do not have any pull fees for approved rescues! Story
Meet Blitzen ❄️🐾Blitzen is a 5-year-old Cattle Dog mix who was found as a stray and never reclaimed. This handsome boy weighs 34 pounds and is now looking for a dedicated, understanding home where he can continue to heal and thrive.Blitzen is currently emaciated, which means he will need an adopter who understands his special feeding needs. He should be separated during meals around other animals, and his new family should be comfortable following a structured feeding plan and providing patient, knowledgeable care as he regains strength.Despite his rough start, Blitzen is doing well with his kennel mate, showing that he can coexist with other dogs under the right circumstances. At this time, we don’t know how he does with cats, kids, or house and crate training, so a calm, experienced home would be ideal.Blitzen is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and ready for a fresh start with someone who will give him the care, patience, and love he deserves. With the right person by his side, Blitzen has the potential to become a loyal and grateful companion. 💙Blitzen's Adoption Fee is $115.50 plus taxDogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.

This 36-pound sweetheart was owner released and is now looking for a loving home where he can truly shine.Wrangler is house trained and crate trained, does well with kids, and is an affectionate, happy boy who absolutely loves giving hugs and kisses. He’s very people-oriented and thrives on attention—if you’re looking for a loyal companion who wants to be by your side, Wrangler is your guy.True to his Heeler roots, Wrangler is energetic and playful, with a fun, hyper side that keeps life exciting. Story
Rosco is an energetic 8.5-month-old Heeler mix with plenty of personality and classic herding instincts. This sweet boy is looking for a home that can match his energy and provide him with the activity and engagement he needs to thrive.Rosco would do best with a canine companion who can tolerate his playful energy and herding habits. He was surrendered to us because his previous owners weren’t able to manage his spirited personality, but with the right family, Rosco is sure to shine. We’re looking for an active household that can give Rosco the structure, exercise, and love he deserves.
