Story
Introducing Jon, a handsome young adult male Heeler mix weighing 35 pounds. Originally found as a stray in Spencer County, Jon is now on the lookout for his forever home where he can share his boundless love and affection with a new family. Despite his rough start, Jon's heart is full of love, and he's eager to make new friends of all species. He's open to meeting dogs, cats, and kids, as his stray background doesn't tell us much. Jon's favorite pastime is being a cuddle bug, and he excels at melting hearts with his irresistible snuggles. Whether it's lounging on the couch or curling up in bed, Jon is happiest when he's close to his human companions, soaking up their warmth and affection. But don't let his love for cuddles fool you; Jon also has a playful side that he loves to indulge. He enjoys romping around in the yard, chasing after toys, and engaging in interactive games that keep him entertained and active. With his charming personality and affectionate nature, Jon is sure to bring endless joy and companionship to his forever family. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this lovable Heeler mix, don't hesitate to meet Jon today and discover the joy he has to offer. Apply today at ITVrescue.org to schedule a meet and greet with Jon. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary. ##2016958##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   Hello. My name is Moe. I am told that the Amish bred me to be a Texas Heeler to sell. Unfortunately I didn't sell fast enough, and I was headed for trouble when a nice man took me home. Sadly he got a new job and works a lot, so I landed with Kentucky Kitty Cats. It has been over a year now with no interest. She tells me it is okay. She said shelters are all full of dogs like me waiting, and there are not enough good homes here. I am just over 2, and all I want is a family where I can love and protect them.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. If you are interested in meeting any of our babies, please contact us or complete an online application at https://kykittycats.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=6024 We are a super small, no kill rescue that is operating way above our capacity. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better.  We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.  We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list. No matter what type of setting you have, if you are looking to save a feline, we can find one for you to help.  Please visit and like our social media...  https://www.facebook.com/kykitties   https://instagram.com/kentuckykittycats?igshid=11qfoexi4imaf   and now we are on TIKTOK! Our PayPal and Venmo is under kykittycats@yahoo.com and our cash app is $kykittycats All donations are much appreciated, and feel free to designate how you want them spent.    May 4, 2024, 11:51 am
