ENERGY LEVEL: Medium PERSONALITY/PHYSICAL TRAITS: Speckled, Chubby, Happy Hello everyone, meet Molly! This happy girl is ready to find her perfect forever home! She isn't asking for too much in her new forever home-just a family to love her and a soft bed to nap on. She also wouldn't mind going on some walkies! Her one caveat seems to be that she doesn't appear to like other dogs very much and would prefer to be the only one in the home. Think Molly could be the perfect fit for your? Give us a call at our Adoption Center at 859-873-5491 to find out more about her or to schedule an appointment to meet her.

Story
Otis is a very sweet and social dog. He is fully house-trained and a true “latch dog,” happiest when spending time by your side. Otis can be very reactive with other dogs and small children, so he would do best in an environment without them. While his reactivity makes him a bit intense at times, he is not dangerous at all! We feel like he just feels more secure with space and routine. He also isn’t a good match for homes with cats or any other small animal. With the right setting, Otis will be a devoted and loving companion. He could possibly be trained to be around other dogs over time if thats something you’re willing to take the time to do. He is very sweet and overall gentle and makes an amazing companion. If I don’t answer your phone calls, please don’t hesitate to leave a voicemail and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you!

Story
Annie, a lovely red heeler, is still searching for a family to love and care for her. Unbelievably, she is one of the longest residents at FairyTails Pet Adoptions. Here is what one of our volunteers said about her: Annie has visited our home for short stays several times now and she was wonderful. She enjoyed playing in our yard, but when that was done, she came inside and flopped down on the sofa with a chew stick. Then we took Annie to our local dog-friendly brewery. She enjoyed the attention from the patrons and was interested in all the new smells. She accepted doggie treats from the bartender .She was a great companion and received many compliments on her behavior. Annie loves to be petted and scratched. She is a real lovebug and wants to be with her people. She is medium energy dog and perfect for a family only wanting one dog. She slept through the night uncrated and was fine, with no whining or barking. She didn't have any accidents in the house as we took her out often. She is unsure with other dogs, so it is best if she were on only dog. She is very loving, happy, and just wants to be with her family. Please email fairytailspetadoptions@yahoo.com to obtain an application or submit an Adopt A Pet inquiry. We will email you an application promptly. If you do not receive an application, please check your spam folder or call us at 859-744-7729. All rescues at FairyTails are fully ready to join your family! Our PETS come to you dewormed, fully vetted, spayed/neutered, dental exam, heart worm tested, flea/tick & heartworm monthly preventative, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, bathed and professionally groomed! They are housed either in foster homes or in house at our facility in warm, spacious suites, with plenty of food, water, toys and attention.

Story
Meet Leona! Leona is a 5 year old cattle dog/pitbull mix. Leona needs a home with no cats or small animals and no small children. She is still very much a puppy and loves to play. She loves people and loves to give kisses. She would do best in a fenced in yard. If you would like to make Leona a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org  LEONA'S ADOPTION FEE IS $170   *Due to Covid 19 restrictions some of our new intakes vet scheduling has been delayed. We will still go ahead and schedule your meet and greet even if all the vetting needed has not been completed. Once vetting is complete the approved adopter will be able to take their dog/cat home to their forever home. The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Portions of your adoption fee also help care for the sick and injured animals that we take in.  Thank you for supporting us and considering a rescue dog!    November 4, 2024, 9:21 am

Story
Meet Judge! Judge is a 5 year old Heeler/Pitbull mix (our best guess) Judge wants a job and aims to please, so he needs a firm handler to do training with him. He loves to be with people and walks pretty well on a leash. He does not do well with cats and does okay with dogs, but does seem to be the alpha dog, so slow introductions are a must. Judge also would need a tall panel fence as he can be an escape artist.  If you want to give Judge a forever home, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org    JUDGES ADOPTION FEE IS $170The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs.
