Story
Hi everyone looking to rehome my 6 year old Heeler/Doberman mix, her name is Eevee, shes super snuggly and playful, she is very loving. But she became reactive to my dog (full on attacking) doing my best to keep them separated. I just want her to go to a home that she can be the one pet. She has trust issues against men at first due to a past owner being abusive, but once shes comfortable she warms up very well to men, just scared at first (not aggressive). No animals other than her in the home, no kids young at least cause she does nip. A big yard or an active family is ideal. It’s breaking my heart to rehome, but I know I can’t give her the life she needs, and I desperately want her to go somewhere good. She will absolutely be someone’s shadow she’s such a love bug. She will come with her favorite toy, brush for her hair, as well as her food bowls. Trying my best to not have her end up in a shelter.

Story
Name: Ford Breed Guess: Heeler Mix Age: 5 months old Gender: Neutered Male Weight: 35 pounds Shelter Temperament: Happy and energetic Children: 6+ years. Will need proper socialization. Cats: Can test upon request Dogs: Meet and Greet Required Adoption fee: $475 Likes: Playing tug of war and running around with his people The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. Adoptions are NOT first come, first served! We seek to choose the best fit for the approved adopter and pet. Please understand that these animals are still new to us and their needs and requirements can change at any time as we learn more about them. We will try our best to get them updated online as soon as possible. All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws. All dogs are also microchipped. Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.

Story
A happy energetic dog. Loves to play and enjoys long walks. Very smart. Not food motivated. Love’s playing with other dogs. We’re unable to provide the life that Dex deserves. My roommate and I are moving soon and can’t bring him along. I just hope someone needs a furbaby and has lots of time to spend with him, reaches out. He deserves the world!

Story
Dutch Billy Boy came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky  where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building because he does have times of anxiety. His approx. birth date is 10/10/18 and he currently weighs 22#. We are guessing at his breed make up. This guy will not be placed with children and he will need structure in his new home. UPDATE - I am in a foster home & house trained! He graduated from obedience class, but needs a very consistent owner who will follow through on daily routine. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He also tested heart worm negative. His adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##859533##
