Story
She is still available for adoption but is currently at Jeff City Correctional Center in the Puppies for Parole program and won't be back at the shelter until April 10th. Her previous owner had to go into a nursing home so we don't have alot of info on her. She was more than likely an outside dog as she was tied up on the property when family came to get her. She is super friendly and loves attention. She is an older dog, probably 8-9 years old, and since being at the prison, they have noticed she has some incontinence issues and is on medication for that and will have to be on it for the rest of her life. That being said, she would thrive in a home where she had alot of attention and love, maybe as being the only dog or with another low-key buddy. He's a confident and affectionate companion ready to steal your heart. Despite his unknown past, Morris exudes a sense of assurance and charm that instantly captivates those around him. His affectionate nature knows no bounds, and he thrives on the companionship and love of his human friends. It does seem like Morris may not have been well-socialized with other dogs, his strange body language cues suggest a lack of familiarity rather than aggression. With patience and a slow introduction, Morris has shown the ability to bond and play well with other dogs. Given the opportunity, he's proven that he's open to building new friendships and enjoying the company of furry companions. It just needs needs to be with forgiving dogs who aren't easily offended by his awkward body language. Are you ready to welcome Morris into your heart and home? Story
* Contact this dog's foster home at SaveMeAdoptMe@gmail.com or text or leave a message at 573-512-2102 .*Adopter can receive a 1-hour free training session from Let's Get Pawsitive LLC .Darling Adina came from a life being tied 24/7 with nothing more than a barrel for protection and she was prego. She has a tendency to become protective of her person if not introduced immediately to individuals coming into the house so she feels all is safe so best for her to have an adult home or older children only along with a fenced yard because she can get spooked if having to rely on being walked on a leash to go potty. She is an absolute love bug, loves to play with other dogs and will do best with a doggie playmate, is good with cats, and just wants a warm comfy sofa to snuggle on while she enjoys the company of her family. Her estimated DOB is Jun 2019 and is 30 lb. Don't know her breed mix; her mama was a brown brindle boxer mix, goes on point when walking, and but mostly resembles and acts like a cattle dog when playing and herding the other dogs. Contact this animals foster home at SaveMeAdoptMe@gmail.com or text or leave a message at 573-512-2102. The adoption donation of $150.00 covers spay / neuter, vaccinations, microchip with lifetime registration, deworming, negative heartworm test, and current monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention.
