Story
Roxy is super sweet and loves to cuddle. She gets excited easily and tends to jump on you when you first enter the room. Due to this, I don’t recommend having her around smaller children. She is trainable and highly motivated with food. We mistakenly got littermates without researching and it has proven to be extremely hard for us to train and spend time with both of them - together and separately. Our trainer said it wouldn’t be a bad idea to rehome her so that each dog gets the love and attention they deserve. This would benefit them each letting them form a deeper bond with their owner, and eliminating their littermate syndrome. She is up to date on shots and we are not asking for any money. We just want her to find a nice forever home.

Story
Meet Hank, a handsome 3-year-old cattle dog mix who is looking for his forever home! This happy and bubbly boy was unfortunately surrendered by his previous owner who found his energy and activity level a bit too much to handle. But don't let that fool you - Hank's exuberance is part of what makes him so special! Hank is a true charmer with his wiggly butt and wagging tail that never seems to stop. He's always ready for a walk and would love a family who could keep up with him while he plays and explores. Hank is an active dog and needs plenty of exercise to keep him happy and healthy. He would do well in a home with a large yard or an active owner who enjoys hiking or running. With his love of the outdoors, Hank would make the perfect adventure buddy for a like-minded individual or family. Despite his energy levels, Hank is an absolute sweetheart. He's a social butterfly who adores meeting new people and other friendly dogs. Here at the shelter, he goes out in a play group and does well. We know that he is a true lover who will shower you with affection and keep you entertained with his antics. He's the kind of dog who will brighten your day with his infectious enthusiasm and unwavering joy. Hank is so ready to embark on a new chapter of his life with that special forever family who is willing to put in the effort to help Hank reach his full potential. He's a absolute gem of a dog, and whoever adopts him will be rewarded with boundless love and loyalty at the end of the day. So what are you waiting for!? Come experience the joy and unconditional love that only a furry friend can bring! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 55.6 Age: 3yrs 3mths 3wks

Story
Say hello to Rusty! He is an almost 4-year-old cattle dog mix who was recently rescued from a difficult situation by animal control. Sadly, his previous owner passed away, and Rusty had been left on a chain outside for likely the majority of his life. Based on how he acts coming inside, it's likely that he hasn't spent a whole lot of time indoors. But it is very clear that he never missed a meal. As a result, he is currently overweight and will require a family who is committed to helping him shed some pounds and get back in shape. The most important thing about Rusty, though, is that he has an awesome personality and is an incredibly gentle and loving dog. He has been introduced to dogs and has done well, though he would be happier in a more calm environment. For a cattle dog, he is a lot more mild mannered than you might think- though that may be a result of his extra fluffiness. He loves attention and affection, and is always trying to figure out how to fit in your lap. We are absolutely certain that Rusty is going to thrive in a home where he can receive plenty of love, attention, training, socialization, and exercise! We would love to see him go to an active family or individual who would like to spend plenty of time outside with, in a situation that is committed to help him maintain a healthier lifestyle. At the end of the day, Rusty is a sweet and loving dog who deserves a second chance at a happy life. With patience, love, and proper care, Rusty will make a wonderful addition to any family!I am still available for adoption, but currently I'm at Jeff City Correctional Center in the Puppies for Parole program. I will be back at the shelter the middle of September.UPDATE...I AM BACK FROM MY TRAINING AND THEY SAID I DID VERY WELL!! Primary Color: Red Roan Weight: 68.6 Age: 4yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
* Contact this dog's foster home at SaveMeAdoptMe@gmail.com or text or leave a message at 573-512-2102 .*Adopter can receive a 1-hour free training session from Let's Get Pawsitive LLC .Darling Adina came from a life being tied 24/7 with nothing more than a barrel for protection and she was prego. She has a sensitive nature so children over 9 would be best for her along with a fenced yard because she can get spooked. Not suited for living close to a military installation or other areas with loud construction noises or apartment or busy neighborhoods. She is an absolute love bug, loves to play with other dogs and would benefit from and enjoy a doggie playmate, is good with cats, and just wants a warm comfy sofa to snuggle on while she enjoys the company of her family. Her estimated DOB is Jun 2019 and is 30 lb. Don't know her breed mix; her mama was a brown brindle boxer mix, goes on point when walking, and acts like a cattle dog when playing. Contact this animals foster home at SaveMeAdoptMe@gmail.com or text or leave a message at 573-512-2102. The adoption donation of $150.00 covers spay / neuter, vaccinations, microchip with lifetime registration, deworming, negative heartworm test, and current monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention.
