Story
Finn was born in March 2020. He is a very loving, affectionate, energetic, and curious dog. He is extremely loyal and protective of his owners, but he does not bite others. He does very well without a leash as he does not like to wander far from his owner. He listens well and he is highly motivated by treats and toys. He tends to get very attached to 1 person and will shadow that person constantly, but he loves any person who will give him attention and love on him. He loves being around people. He loves to run and has tons of energy. He loves being outside, but prefers to have someone outside with him to play with.Finn can become very anxious if he is left alone for a long time or if his owners are away. Sometimes he will refuse to eat. If Finn gets jealous or upset, he might poop on the floor. He is an amazing and wonderful friend when his needs are met and he gets plenty of attention and play time.He is such a sweet, gentle dog, but needs behavior training and access to run outside.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in adopting, read about our Adoption Process and complete an Adoption Application on the Mo-Kan website.  A Mo-Kan application must be filled out to begin the process.(Sending an "Inquiry" via Petfinder does not constitute an application.)   Henry is a 10-12 month old Australian Cattle Dog who was found as a stray with his border collie buddy before a winter storm.  We couldn’t leave him behind so he joined MOKAN as an honorary border collie. Henry loves everyone and would be a great family pet.  He gets along with other dogs and loves to play with his foster brothers.  He likes cats but does think they should be his friend and doesn’t understand why they don’t feel the same! Henry is house trained and crate trained, rides well in the car ( but still gets nauseous at times) and is doing pretty well on leash walking. Henry’s favorite things are Benebones, stuffed Kongs, belly rubs and romps with this friends.  He also likes the baby pool, going on walks and watching over the yard from the deck. He is slowly getting more interested in toys but so far has no interest in fetch.  He has moderate food drive. Henry does like to chase cars while on walks so this is something he has been working on but it will likely be a long term process.  He is also working on basic manners and obedience.  He is a typical young cattle dog and someone with breed experience and willingness to continue his training will be the ideal home.  That said, he is of moderate energy and does not necessarily  need a working or sport home, just a family to love him and keep him busy.  Henry will need a 4 foot or higher above ground fence to keep him safe.  He is being fostered in the Ozark, MO area.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 16, 2026, 10:23 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in adopting, read about our Adoption Process and complete an Adoption Application on the Mo-Kan website.  A Mo-Kan application must be filled out to begin the process.(Sending an "Inquiry" via Petfinder does not constitute an application.)   Meet Quincy! Quincy is a 1-year-old Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix with a whole lot of heart packed into a petite 30 lbs. He came to us from a California shelter where he was sadly out of time, and we’re so glad he got his second chance. Now that he’s settling into a routine, Quincy is showing just how special he is. The Good Stuff (and there’s a lot!)  •  Very dog friendly! Quincy loves other dogs and especially enjoys a rowdy playmate. He’s enthusiastic but respectful and takes corrections well from older, grumpier dogs.  •  Food drive: OFF THE CHARTS. Truly a 10/10. Quincy will happily work for snacks and learns FAST. In just a week he’s mastered sit (with eye contact!), down, spin/twist, and pedestal/Klimb. If you’ve ever dreamed of an eager trainee—this is your guy. •  Crate & kennel trained. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. •  Super affectionate. Quincy is a cuddler and loves being close to his people. •  Great car rider. Ready for adventures near and far! •  Toy drive is moderate. He naturally fetches to hand and likes balls and squeaky toys (hasn’t discovered tug or disc yet). Things He’s Still Working On •  Confidence building. When Quincy first arrived, he showed lots of appeasement behaviors (jumping, licking hands, groveling). This has already improved tremendously, and he continues to gain confidence every day. We suspect his past wasn’t always kind.       The Perfect Home With patient, positive training, Quincy will shine as a family pet, adventure buddy, or even a future sport prospect. He’s smart, eager, affectionate, and trying so hard to be the best boy. He is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. If you’re looking for a sweet, trainable Border Collie who’s ready to blossom with the right person—Quincy might just be your perfect match. Quincy is being fostered in the Kansas City, MO area.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2026, 5:11 pm
