Story
12/16/25.... Rocky has been with us since October and we don't understand. He is a good boy, who is still learning the ropes. The longer he is with us, obviously the older he gets. He does great with respectful children. He is learning sign language/hand signals. The only thing he really needs work with is not pulling when being walked. He is a funny guy who will make you laugh on the daily. 10/20/25...Meet Rocky — a 4-month-old Cattle Dog/Pitbull/JRT mix who’s as sweet as they come! 🐶💙 Rocky is beagle-sized, absolutely adorable, and full of love, playfulness, and energy. He’s also proving to be a very smart little guy who just wants to make his people happy. Rocky would do great with an active family who can keep up with his puppy energy and give him all the love he deserves! Rocky has started his vaccine series, deworming and has been microchipped. He will be neutered when 6 months. If you’re interested in meeting this handsome boy, please submit an application. All current pets MUST be up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason. www.pawzandpurrz.org RR335 Please Note: We are making changes to our Foster to Adopt process. Limited resources to follow up on pending adoptions and delays in processing payments is adding to our financial restrictions. Going forward we will collect payment when the dog is transferred to the potential new owner and will be held for an agreed upon trial time. Exceptions or extended trial times will be considered on a case by case basis and will depend upon the need or situation.

Story
Kermit is a dog as special as they come. He’s been living with many other dogs and cats and even horses, all of whom he’s done great with. His recall is excellent, and he knows “sit,” “stay,” and “leave it.” He free feeds and does well left alone in the home. Always off leash, Kermit rarely goes out of sight but always comes back soon when he does. Farm life is his jam! Did we mention he loves to run with the four wheeler? This 1 1/2 year old Heeler/Australian Shepherd boy was born as an Amish puppy to be sold but never did sell and landed in a shelter after his 8 months of life were spent in a barn with minimal human interaction. After a year of fostering with us, he has proved himself to be an incredibly goofy, sweet, and happy boy full of life and love. Due to his background, Kermit does take a bit to warm up to strangers, and he especially has a fear of men, so a home without men or with one(s) who can be gentle and patient will be necessary. He especially gets confidence from calm and confident dogs, so a home with at least one dog like that is necessary. His people must also have the cool attitude he needs. We are requiring experience with Heelers and/or Aussie Shepherds. Lastly, he needs activity and lots of it! He is no couch potato pup! We know that’s a lot! And that’s why, even though he’s fixed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and microchipped, we aren’t asking a cent of a fee, only the home he deserves. No amount of money could compare to that. And we admit we will be picky! Please like, comment, and/or share to help Kermit find his happily ever after.
