Story
Reese is a smart, independant cattle dog born on 8/8/19 who came to us from a farm in Kentucky. She has been the only pet in our home and spent her early years hiking, backpacking, and enjoying an active lifestyle. Reese loves long walks, freedom to explore, and thrives with structure and consistency. In 2021, she completed a 3-week stay-and-train program focused on leash manners and place/stay commands. She is loyal, driven, and a great companion the majority of the time. After welcoming our son in 2024, Reese has struggled to adjust to life with a young child. Because of this, we believe she would do best in an adult-only home without children or other pets. While she is a wonderful dog most of the time, her occasional unpredictability makes our home no longer the right fit. Reese would thrive with an experienced, heeler-savvy adopter who understands working breeds and can provide clear boundaries, exercise, and mental stimulation. She does have a bite history, details upon request.

Story
Meet Archie, He is a three year-old Australian Cattle Dog (Red Heeler). Archie is a sweet and energetic young dog, he is always ready to run, fetch a ball, or play tug-o-war. He is very affectionate with his owner. He likes cats, but does not have much interaction with other dogs and is generally aloof, he can sometimes be reactive when on a leash toward other dogs and strangers. He is house broken, crate trained and knows some basic commands such as "Sit" and "Drop it" He is highly food motivated and is easily won over with a treat. Archie is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is a medium sized dog at about 35-38lbs. He was born on an Amish farm in Lancaster County in January 2023, I have had him since he was approximately 8 weeks old. Since he is a working dog, he requires lots of exercise, a yard is preferred but he currently lives in an apartment.

Story
Looking for a ride along friend, snuggle bug, adventure pal, confidante and best friend? Maybelline might just be your girl! With a heart of gold, an eagerness to please, a smile so beautiful it’ll light up a room–Maybelline has been searching for the perfect home who appreciates what she’s got to offer! Maybelline is a 4 year old Australian shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix with a walk like a Corgi. She is 40lbs which we think is the perfect medium sized pup! Maybelline has lived outside her whole life, so she’s looking for a home that’ll be patient with her while she learns the ropes of indoor living. Right now, her foster mom says she’s acclimating so fast! Maybelline is a very happy go lucky girl. She loves to snuggle up on the couch and hold you hostage. She likes to eat ALL the food you have to offer her–even if it’s a bite of your burger, she doesn’t mind. She will hog the bed, act as a heating pad on the couch, follow you like a shadow, accompany you on any adventure that awaits and will do so without complaints. Maybelline is the picture of a loyal companion. She’s quirky, but who doesn’t love a quirky girl? Her smile comes off as more of a smirk and we giggle every time it comes out. Her eyes are SO expressive. Her whole body will wiggle with joy the second she sees you or hears your voice. She’s such a happy dog. Her nub tail goes a million miles a minute the higher your voice goes. Maybelline enjoys treats, especially if it’s lunch meat. Specifically, turkey. She’s a little on the picky side with dog food, but she’s just watching her figure! Because she’s snack motivated, training with her will be extra fun! She is great on leash and enjoys nature walks. She’s not a fast-paced girl but hikes could also be her thing! A trip down to the lake could also prove to be a blast! Maybelline is great in the kennel for just learning what one is. She’s a patient girl who waits her turn to come out. She’s also potty trained to perfection! If Maybelline seems like the beauty queen you’re searching for, apply now before she gets adopted! She has been spayed, microchipped by rescue and treated for heartworms - on prevention and up to date on vaccines. She has no special needs or medical needs. FOSTERED IN FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS. **Local Adoption to the Houston area is $300.00 *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. Email to Apply! Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org Adoption Application LINK: https://forms.gle/33ciYyXPTL18FfnV6 Email with Questions or for Adoption Application - Adopt@CaffeinatedCanineRescueTx.org --------------------------------------------------- See more Photos, Videos and Updates on Social Media Facebook.com/CaffeinatedCanineRescueTX Instagram @CaffeinatedCanineRescue --------------------------------------------------- History: Maybelline was brought to rescue from rural Mississippi where she had litters of puppies. She was heartworm positive, so it was necessary to bring her to Houston for a rescue to treat her and work on an adoption plan for her. She has cattle dog blood so herding and chasing chickens is possible, since arriving in the suburbs, she's only shown an interest in being a couch Queen. Foster Notes: Maybelline is a super friendly girl but would do best in a home that has only male dogs or where she will be the only dog! She doesn’t pair well with female dogs per rumors - she has been good with younger female dogs and easy-going females. Even though she sometimes doesn’t mix well with other mature dogs - this girl is still super deserving of the perfect home! Video: https://youtu.be/WFcJQHVijpo?si=Eggx0TomiljQqI8C
