Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617Could she do well with kids? Yes, with children around 12 years old on a kid-by-kid basis.Could she do well with other dogs? Zoe can be selective with other dogs. Multiple meets might be necessary.Has this dog lived with cats? No. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---What volunteers have to say about this animal:Meet Zoe – Tender Heart, Watchful SoulZoe is an Australian Cattle Dog–American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a sensitive spirit, a sharp mind, and a heart that truly shines when she feels safe. She’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place, and she’s looking for someone to help her believe that. Zoe can be timid and hyper-aware of her surroundings, especially in busy or overwhelming environments. She notices everything—sounds, movement, other dogs—and sometimes that awareness turns into anxiety. But when she’s with people she trusts, a completely different side of her emerges: soft, sweet, and eager to connect. What Zoe Is Like:- Extremely sweet and people-focused once she feels safe- Active and energetic—she loves having an outlet- A huge fan of fetch (tennis balls are her favorite!)- Prefers slow, gentle handling and the ability to move away if needed- Can be cautious with unfamiliar objects, but recovers once they’re out of sightZoe’s absolute favorite activity is playing fetch: it helps her relax, focus, and just be a dog. Give her a tennis ball, and you’ll see her light up, fully engaged and happy, not quite ready for the game to end.Zoe’s Ideal Home Looks Like:- Kids around 12+, on a case-by-case basis- A calm, structured home with patient, understanding humans- People who will give her time, space, and a steady routineZoe isn’t a “jump right in” kind of dog. She’s a “go slow, earn trust, and build something real” kind of dog. And once you do, her sweetness is incredibly rewarding. She’s waiting for someone who will see past the worry and recognize the loving, loyal companion underneath.---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Zoe is an active and energetic dog who displayed stress-related behaviors during her assessment, including pacing, panting, and being hyper-aware of her surroundings. She reacted defensively toward other dogs, barking

Story
Tito was found at about 5 months old at a park by a kind dad and his toddler alone and scared.Tito is a big fan of long walks, adventures, and quality time with his favorite humans. He enjoys playing with other dogs but prefers polite play—he’s happiest with dog friends who respect his space and play nicely. He is house-trained and crate-trained, though he’d much rather be hanging out with his people than spending time in a crate. Tito walks beautifully on a leash and is always ready to explore the world by your side whether going on a walk, hike, or a car ride.Tito is very intelligent, loyal, and deeply devoted to his human. He has a naturally watchful and attentive nature and likes to keep an eye on his person, making sure everyone is where they’re supposed to be. Tito is eager to learn, treat-motivated, and loves showing off his skills—especially when toys are involved! If you’re looking for a loving, smart, loyal, adventure-ready companion to enjoy the world by your side, Tito just might be your perfect match for you.Tito is located in Houston, Texas. Story
Not only is this girl pretty as a picture, but you can probably tell by looking at her pictures, that FUN is in her dna! She has a zest for life…full of energy, she’s lively & outgoing, making her a lot of fun to be around! Margo seems to love everybody that she meets, adults as well as children and she is good with other dogs. She was pregnant when she came to us and had puppies shortly after her arrival. Once she weaned her puppies (she was a great mom), she tested positive for heartworms. This sweet girl raised her puppies…just completed her heartworm treatment and has been given a clean bill of health…now she’s ready for a great new life of her own! Margo is 16 months old (dob 9/16/24), weighs 33 pounds, has been spayed, microchipped, 4DX heartworm tested, fecal tested, current on all vaccinations, worming and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Margo is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the New England area every week and her fee includes transportation.
