Arto is a very high active and smart dog. He needs lots of play and time spent with him. I feel he will do best in a home with lots of area to run and as the only pet. He is loyal and protective but with the right person and training he could make the perfect house protector and companion.

Story
Meet Toasty! This young cattle dog mix is looking for a family that can be understanding of his rough start, and provide consistency and training to help him build confidence. Toast is timid and has missed key puppy skills and socialization along they way. He is also a high drive, working breed, and requires a lot of exercise. The right home for Toast would include a fenced yard and previous experience with the Cattle Dog breed.Toast enjoys playing with toys, working on training(he`s food motivated), and cuddling. He has shown to be a little too nippy for young children, so we are recommending ages 13+ for this guy. He has done well with cats in his foster home but is showing reactivity towards dogs. He may be able to have dogs friends but would prefer to be the only dog in the home at this time.If you`re interested in meeting Toast, he is located at the Pennsylvania SPCA -- Danville Center on Bloom Rd. -- open daily from 12:00 - 6:00 (no appointment needed - all people in the home required to meet the dog before going forward with adoption). If you have any questions about him, feel free to call the shelter at 570-275-0340 or email us at danville@PSPCA.org.Pennsylvania SPCA Danville Center1467 Bloom Road Danville PA 17821Kennel# 2909

Story
Ernie is a sweet, sensitive soul who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Since arriving at the shelter, he’s been a little nervous — new sights, sounds, and people can be overwhelming. But there’s one sure way to win him over: treats! He’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can decompress and build confidence at his own pace. A quiet environment and someone who understands that love sometimes takes time would be perfect for him. Once he bonds with you, Ernie is sure to become a loyal and loving companion. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in small victories—like the first tail wag, or the moment he leans in for a pet—then Ernie might be your perfect match. Available at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257

Story
Windy is going to be a whole lot of fun for some lucky family. She is VERY adventurous, VERY active, VERY outgoing and has a zest for life. She is a friendly and happy girl as well and seems to love everyone that she meets. She really enjoys the outdoors too, so if you need a hand with the cattle, a hiking partner or running partner, I think she’ll be a good one. Given her activity level, she will need to be adopted by a fun and ACTIVE family. Windy didn’t come to us alone either, she came with her four puppies, which have already been adopted. Now that she has fulfilled her motherly duties it’s her turn for a better life. She is 4-5 years old and weighs 35-40 pounds. She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested and is current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400. Windy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to those states.

Story
Lelo is a sweet, female Blue Heeler (aka Australian Cattle Dog) looking for a new home after being surrendered to PK by no fault of her own. Lelo is 3 years old and currently weighs 59 lbs., though she needs to drop a few pounds. Lelo is friendly and observant; she is clearly a smart girl. She is happiest when she is out of her kennel at the shelter, preferring to be outside moving around. Given her breed, Lelo would do best in a home where she receives regular mental and physical stimulation and can be an active part of the family. She likes other dogs, has spent time around children in the past, and can be cat tested if requested. Lelo is housetrained and knows some basic commands. Apply to adopt Lelo at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052
