Male, 9 mos

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained,
Story
Max is fun, loving, very energetic, and friendly. The previous owners reported that he plays well with other dogs. They believe he would be happiest in a home with a big yard for him to run around in. Max was previously housetrained, but the owners say that he spent the past few months living outside and may need to be re-trained. So far, he has kept his kennel very neat since he arrived at the shelter. He is friendly towards children; however, due to his playfulness and his energy level, we do not recommend a home with small children. He may accidentally knock them over. If you visit the shelter, you will immediately notice Max, as he can be very loud and will do whatever it takes to command your attention. Thankfully, he is only like this when in his kennel! He calms down significantly once he is out of the kennel. Max would benefit from some basic obedience classes and would likely enjoy learning new tricks! He is exceptionally smart. Max would make the ultimate running partner, and would also probably enjoy going on hikes.
