Story
Big Red Fred! This boy loves everybody and almost everything…..his feet however are off limits (or so he says)! I think he throughly loves playing “give me those feet” as he tries to keep them away! He loves dogs and ignores cats! He’s a very very sweet boy but he does have some vision impairments but they don’t hinder him in the slightest! You however, be mindful giving him treats because he just may swallow your entire arm as he can’t see up close very well! Hes not much of an adventurer but loves spending time outside sun bathing and sleeping on a nice comfy dog bed inside next to his people! He would love to have a home with another dog who he can play with as he thrives with friends!

Little Kipp has had a rough start to life. He was hit by a car and thankfully, he is recovering well! He still has a slight head tilt, likely has some hearing loss, and is still a little uncoordinated but, he is the sweetest fella.

Story
Pebbles and her siblings found themselves lost looking for a family to call their own. Bedford Humane Society will do their best to make that happen. At 8 weeks, Pebbles is still a baby, so she will need a family ready for all the normal puppy stuff: house training, leash work, manners, teething, supervision and all the occasional head-scratching decisions made with full confidence and zero life experience. Pebbles is off to a fantastic start BUT is not a pre-installed adult dog. Pebbles is a puppy and requires actual parenting. Please when you consider adopting Pebbles to do your research of this breed, they are wonderful dogs but not for everyone. Pebbles' vaccinations are current for her age, she is microchipped and has been wormed. Since Pebbles is not yet spayed she is not available for adoption outside of the counties contiguous to Bedford County. Her adoption fee is $300. For more information please visit our website at www.bhsva.org to fill out an adoption application.

Story
Dino is an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix. Sweet Dino is still waiting after his sisters were adopted. He’s growing and learning. Dino is walking well on a leash, got the crate down, with timely outside breaks, still jumps when he gets excited, (working on that). Dino is smart you can almost see the wheel’s turning, although he is energetic he isn’t wild and crazy, he is still a puppy. Dino has been to events and is very people and dog friendly. Dino would love to have his own family. He knows his family is out there somewhere. Dino's vaccinations are current for his age, he has been wormed and is microchipped. Since Dino is not yet neutered, he is not available for adoption outside of the counties contiguous to Bedford County. Story
Princess is a 2 year old little cattle dog mix who is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccines. If you’ve ever visited our Center for Pets and have seen one of our dog playgroups in action, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Princess in the middle of the fun. She’s a playgroup star and will never turn down the chance to spend time with other dogs. Princess has been waiting in our care for several months without finding the right match. While she loves to play and stay active, shelter life has become increasingly stressful for her. Like many active breeds long stents of time in the shelter have taken its toll on Princess. Princess is looking for an experienced adopter who understands that building trust takes time. We’re fairly certain that moving forward Princess having a dog companion will be the catalyst for her confidence! We know Princess’s person is out there. She just needs someone willing to see beyond the shelter environment and give her the chance she’s been waiting for. If you’re interested in learning more about Princess and think she might be the one for you, stop by our Center for Pets today or email us at adoption@lynchburghumane.org.
