Dixie was a young mom who had to scrounge for food while living outside. She no longer has to wonder where her next meal is coming from, but she is still wondering when someone will choose her. Dixie is an energetic girl who just wants to be near her human - she prefers women. She loves to roll in the grass in the sunshine and take walks. Dixie is energetic and enjoys running around at a dog park. Being a heeler, she is very smart and quick to learn. She really wants to please. Dixie would love to find a home where she feels secure and can be active. She will need time to settle in and get used to the routines of the household. Arlo is a very sweet boy, and loves to play with balls and sticks outside. He can use a leash but hes not a fan so it may take some work to get him to use it (he’s had a fenced yard so we just let him roam to do what he needs to do). He does well with car rides and usually just lays down and enjoys the ride. He can be a bit shy around males at first but he comes around very fast! He loves to eat and he loves his crate(it is his safe space). He is house trained and crate trained. He does great with kids (I have 2 young kids) however he doesn’t do great with other male dogs and smaller dogs. He tries to be the more dominant dog in the house and dislikes another animal to touch his food (he has his own food bowl) He absolutely loves to cuddle. When he gets excited he does tends to jump sometimes. His birthday is 12/28/21. LOVES being outdoor!
