Story
Hi, I am Cooper, an Australian Cattle Dog mix! Though I may be a little shy at first, I am friendly with people, but am wary of other dogs. Cats I mainly ignore, so your feline friends are safe with me! I have very good manners, am crate trained, housetrained, and I do great on a leash. I'm a little bit of an anxious guy, so I would do best in a calm household. Would you be a good fit for my forever home? Come visit me at Angels of Assisi, and I will show you just how sweet I can be!

Story
Sweet Dixie has been at the rescue for a little over a year. The group of dogs that she entered care with were quickly adopted out. She is still waiting. Dixie was a young mom who had to scrounge for food while living outside. She no longer has to wonder where her next meal is coming from, but she is still wondering when someone will choose her. Dixie is an energetic girl who just wants to be near her human - she prefers women. She loves to roll in the grass in the sunshine and take walks. Dixie is energetic and enjoys running around at a dog park. Being a heeler, she is very smart and quick to learn. She really wants to please. Dixie would love to find a home where she feels secure and can be active. She will need time to settle in and get used to the routines of the household. Dixie is a sweet girl with a lot of love to give. She is not good with cats and is dog selective.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Meet Rodeo! 🐾🤍 Rodeo is a small-to-medium sized senior heeler mix who recently found his way to us after being surrendered to a neighboring animal control. Adopted as a puppy, Rodeo spent years believing he had a forever home, only to find himself given up later in life. It’s understandable that this sweet boy feels a little confused and let down, but we couldn’t allow that sense of defeat to follow him any further. That’s how Rodeo ended up here, ready for a fresh and final chapter. Rodeo has some hair loss from flea exposure, which has since been fully treated, and his adorable looks are already shining through. Beneath it all is a calm, laid-back guy who prefers quiet companionship and peaceful moments. He’s not asking for much, just a soft place to rest, gentle affection, and the comfort of knowing he’s home for good. After everything he’s been through, Rodeo deserves stability, patience, and love more than ever. He’s looking for his final home, where he can relax, feel safe, and be cherished for the rest of his days. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-key companion with a heart full of gratitude, Rodeo is ready to settle in and stay forever. 🏡🐶❤️

Story
Arlo is a very sweet boy, and loves to play with balls and sticks outside. He can use a leash but hes not a fan so it may take some work to get him to use it (he’s had a fenced yard so we just let him roam to do what he needs to do). He does well with car rides and usually just lays down and enjoys the ride. He can be a bit shy around males at first but he comes around very fast! He loves to eat and he loves his crate(it is his safe space). He is house trained and crate trained. He does great with kids (I have 2 young kids) however he doesn’t do great with other male dogs and smaller dogs. He tries to be the more dominant dog in the house and dislikes another animal to touch his food (he has his own food bowl) He absolutely loves to cuddle. When he gets excited he does tends to jump sometimes. His birthday is 12/28/21. LOVES being outdoor! If you are interested in Arlo please feel free to reach out to me or if you have anymore questions let me know and I’ll be happy to answer them!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Indiana, affectionately known as Indy, is a handsome 1-year-old Foxhound/Cattle Dog mix weighing about 50 pounds. With his boundless energy, loving nature, and playful personality, he’s ready to be your most devoted companion! What Indy Loves: Playing tug-of-war and fetch—especially with a tennis ball! Exploring the yard and running off his energy in a safe space. Snuggling up with his favorite humans after a fun day of play. Learning! He’s smart, eager to please, and working hard on his manners. The Perfect Home for Indy: Indy thrives in a calm, structured environment where he’s the only pet. He’s incredibly affectionate with people and loves children, though his enthusiasm might be a bit much for very young kids. A home with a securely fenced yard or a rural setting where he has space to run would be ideal. Special Considerations: Indy has some anxiety and is reactive toward other dogs, so he’ll need a patient and understanding owner willing to continue his training. His current family has been working with a trainer and is even offering to cover the first couple of months of private training for his new home to help him succeed! Indy is fully house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. He’s an incredibly loyal dog who just needs the right environment to thrive. Could you be the one to give Indy the safe and loving forever home he deserves? If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are ready to help him become his best self, he’s ready to love you in return!      CVRR is listing this dog as a COURTESY to the actual owner.
