Thoroughly read through the OUR PROCESS tab4. then fill out an online application from your laptop or desktop computer or click on the mobile friendly link on the application page. **All adopters are required to sign up for and complete the age appropriate Method K9 online training course. _______________________________________________________________ Rowdy is a 6 yr old, Heeler also known as an Australian Cattle Dog. He is a perfect smallish-medium size, roughly 40lbs with the cutest little bobtail (half tail) He is neutered, vaccinated (core DHPP & Rabies), he is microchipped and has had deworming treatment. What I can say about Rowdy ‘Riffic is that he has been in foster for a few months while we got to know him and he is AWESOME. He is very engaged with training, is super smart, & VERY food motivated. He is very much a heeler but is also soooo sweet and a total cuddle buddy. He is great with other dogs in a small group (chaos and over stimulation is kryptonite for a heelers instincts to herd and nip) and is great with my cat Mack too. He is crate trained and when he is in the house he wears a belly band for two reasons #1 he occasionally will attempt to lift his leg but #2 somewhere along the line he developed a coping behavior (likely from stress) where he mouths/chews his upper thigh area causing the beginning of granulomas and a belly band helps him to not have access to it. He is doing it less and less every day now that he has a stable environment where he getting his mental, physical, and emotional needs met. If you are interested in Rowdy: ** You MUST be active and live an active lifestyle. **You MUST be committed to crate training and setting clear boundaries and expectations to ensure his mental & physical needs are met daily.  **You MUST enroll in and complete the @methodk9 Basic Foundation program (we are able to offer a 50% discount for our approved adopters) ##1847781##

Story
Meet Jack, the perfect companion for an active household! This handsome pup is not only house-trained, but he's also a pro at holding it in for 8-10 hours, making him an ideal fit for families with busy schedules. Jack doesn't bat an eye when left alone - no separation anxiety here! Plus, you can trust him to keep your yard intact with no digging or inappropriate chewing behaviors. Equipped with a doggie door and a fenced yard of at least 5 feet, Jack loves to have his own space to roam and explore. While he prefers the company of fellow canines, he's a bit wary around cats, so a feline-free environment would suit him best. When it comes to playtime, Jack is all in! Whether it's a game of ball or frisbee, he's always ready to chase after his favorite toys. And don't let his playful nature fool you - Jack is also a well-behaved pup who knows his basic commands like sit, stay, and down. He's currently working on perfecting his recall skills, showing dedication to becoming an even more obedient companion. If you're looking for a loyal and fun-loving addition to your family who's already got the basics down pat, Jack is the dog for you! For more info or to meet Jack please text his foster mom, Kathy, at 509-220-8145.

Story
Layla was born in April 2023. We've had her since she was about 6 weeks old. Layla is a Velcro dog, always wants to be at your side. She would thrive as an only dog with someone who works from home, wants a cuddly best friend, and has the time to exercise her. She's energetic and loves to run and play. We didn't know when we got her that my husband was about to be diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and my job was going into severe overtime. Due to this, she unfortunately didn't get the time she deserved and since then we've had trouble stopping her overactive play/dominance over our aging chocolate lab. Hoping to find this girl the right home!

Story
Big Bang is an adorable pocket sized heeler with a personality that packs a punch. She came to the Mission from our partners at SCRAPS after she was hit by a car and ended up with a broken pelvis. She's nearly fully healed now and has just as much swag in her step as she does in her attitude.  Bang is good with other animals and has great leash and crate manners, and as an added bonus she's already reliable unattended in the household and won't have toilet mistakes or destroy things.  Bang is insecure meeting new people and warms up fastest to women. She takes longer to get used to men and will not be suitable in a home with children younger than 10. She warms up to new people quickly, but it's important that potential suitors are prepared to give her a little space and not immediately force themselves on her. She is head shy and will dodge unwanted touches, but once she's comfortable she will boop your hand to let you know.  Bang loves fetching and going for walks. As she finishes her healing process, we anticipate she will happily return to an active lifestyle with a potential need for an anti-inflammatory now an then.  Bang comes spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and dewormed. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes her leash, collar, ID tag, harness, food sample and medical records. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.   ##2011840##

Story
Hello, my name is Anahi and I am currently looking to rehome my sisters dog Moon. Moon is an Australian Shepard and was brought to Spokane from Yakima Wa. My sister brought him home when he was just a few weeks old. Moon or Moonie just turned a year this February. We are looking to rehome for a couple of unfortunate reasons. The main one being he is very energetic and needs somebody who can physically reciprocate that energy. We are looking for somebody who is experienced or has had an Aussie before. He must have a yard to run in. He is not aggressive in any way, but is very strong and might possible knock over small children. Moonie is silly, smart and very high energy. He enjoys things such as running, toys (durable ones) and sprinklers where he can get wet in. All we really want is for him to live a perfect life filled with love. This is very hard on my sister so I will be in charge of rehoming. Please reach out for more information. Thank you!
