Story
Meet Oreo! Oreo came to CCHS as a stray from the township of Weston near Greenwood towards the very end of January. This gorgeous Heeler mix is about 1 year old and weighs roughly 42.8lbs currently. Oreo is as sweet as can be! She has a never-ending smile and a tail that seems to be wagging any time she's awake! We don't have much information to her prior life given that she came in as a stray, but from what we've seen, she is intelligent and kind and ready to love on anyone she comes to meet! With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Oreo today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Story
Meet Darla! Darla came to CCHS as a stray from the township of Fremont earlier this January. This pretty Red Heeler is about a year and a half old and weighs roughly 35.2lbs currently. Darla is an absolute ray of awkward sunshine! She is such a smart gal but didn't quite grasp onto the social skills so she hopes you can look past her being a bit forward with her affection! Darla is a tad protective of her food, so she'd prefer being the only dog in the home to avoid her anxiety around sharing. With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Darla today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Thank you!

Julieta is a sassy gal that can't help but be forward with her affection! Julieta would love a confident playmate that understands how strong her love can be! With any puppy, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Julieta today! You can go to cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt or bit.ly/CCHSadopt. Story
Meet Sully (fka Watson)! Sully originally came to CCHS with his brother, Sherlock, earlier this February from a local farm. He was adopted out shortly after that and brought back this August as the kiddos in his home gave him quite the anxiety. This Heeler mix is about 8 months old and weighs 31.2lbs currently. Sully is a naturally inquisitive pup that always seems to have his nose to the ground! He is always seeking out a new adventure and would love to share his next one with you! Because of the high stress he experienced being surrounded by a multitude of small children in his first home, Sully would do better in a home with older kids that can be more mindful of his space. While we aren't entirely sure what his exact breed makeup is, we can tell you he is 100% your newest sidekick! With any puppy, training and socialization are incredibly important to the pup. Apply for Sully today!Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $250. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.

Meet Kaarl! Kaarl came to CCHS with his 7 siblings towards the very beginning of January from a local farm. This dashing Heeler mix is about 8 weeks old and a handful of fun! Kaarl is a goofy little man! He has a ton of puppy energy to burn off, but a touch of ADHD so he does often get easily distracted in the midst of zoomie time!
