Story
Darci is a cute little girl looking for her forever home. She is about 30 lbs and approx 6 months old. She loves to run and stretch her long legs. She is working on walking on a leash and is learning quickly. She is a very smart girl. Darci gets along well with other dogs. She would make a great addition to any family. Taking her on walks, jogs, or hikes would be right up her alley. We are working with her on crate training and housetraining. She is catching on quickly. This puppy is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Monk is a two-year-old, approximately 55-pound dog with a gentle and affectionate personality. He’s well-mannered, quiet, and highly intelligent, making him a wonderful addition to a caring family.Monk is good on a leash and enjoys taking walks. He is also great in the car, ready for adventures with his new family. He gets along well with other dogs, including smaller ones, but is not a fan of cats, so a home without feline friends would be best for him.He loves to play catch, and would thrive in a home with a yard, where he can run and explore freely. Monk is crate trained and loves to relax by your feet while you sit on the porch or watch TV at night (or even on your lap) He enjoys toys and responds well to commands, showcasing his clever nature.Located in Houston, Texas and his $300 transport fee has been sponsored by a generous donor.

Look no further than Loki. This boy will melt your heart with his beautiful brown eyes. Loki was surrendered by his owners, through no fault of his own, and is looking for a family that will shower him with attention and give him the home he deserves. At 3 years old and an Australian Kelpie mix, Loki is fully grown and weighing in at around 43 lbs., making him the perfect medium sized companion.Loki is looking for a family that will put the time and effort into providing daily exercise, a variety of adventurous activities, and a commitment to continued training. With a little structure, this loving boy will thrive. He has been doing great on a leash and loves to play. He is currently learning the art of fetch and cannot wait to show off his skills to his new family.Loki gets along well with all canine friends as well as kids, however his relationship with cats is unknown at this time. As with most dogs that come into our rescue, His house and crate training are in progress. However, he is already leash trained and ready to join his family on regular walks in the neighborhood or along a walking trial or anything in between. With lots of love still to give, Loki is ready for a second chance at a forever family. Do not look past this amazing pup.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Loki is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.January 12, 2026, 5:51 am

Story
Meet Ariel, a brave and beautiful soul who embodies the best of both worlds: an adventurous spirit with a gentle, loving heart. Ariel is around 1 year old or older, we’re not sure of age, weighing around 30lbs. We believe she may be a Kelpie mix. She is a curious and playful pup, always ready to explore and discover new things, yet she is also dignified and quiet, with a loyal and protective nature. Ariel is an independent thinker, but don't let that fool you - she is a social butterfly who loves nothing more than to be by your side, offering gentle affection and a listening ear. With her athletic build, she is always up for a game or a walk, but she is just as happy curling up for some quiet time. Ariel is a smart cookie, too, always eager to learn and please. She is a true friend, a brave companion, and a loyal confidante, offering a gentle nudge and a listening ear. This wonderful girl is ready to find her forever family and fill your home with love, laughter, and gentle adventures. Could that be with you? Ariel is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Are you looking for a soft soul to love in the midst of this crazy world? We have the perfect dog for you! Trixie is like the shy new kid in class who stays tucked in the corner until someone kind sits next to her, offers a little patience, and opens the door to a beautiful friendship. Once she realizes she’s safe and loved, she blooms. Trixie has gone from a quiet and unsure girl to a loyal, snuggly, playful companion who knows how good it feels to be loved and cherished. This beautiful girl weighs about 55 pounds and is estimated to be 5 years old. We think she is a Kelpie/Husky/shephard mix, but we aren’t really sure, so we just call her our Texas Special- the very best breed! She has a gorgeous coat that features a mixture of solid black shiny fur with patches of merle and spots on her socks. Check out Trixie here: https://youtu.be/HGbITB-dv5k Trixie is being fostered with eight small grumpy dogs. It is funny to watch her gently play with them, and then she takes it in stride when they growl and snap at her. They do snuggle up to her sometimes! In play groups with other big dogs she is very shy and stays on the sidelines. For that reason, we think Trixie would thrive in a home with small dogs. Trixie blossoms with people who are patient. Her bond with her foster mom is a shining example; she’s become her little shadow, quietly trailing from room to room just to be nearby. She loves to snuggle on the couch and have her belly rubbed. Trixie wants nothing more than to be with her person. Like many herding breeds, she uses her mouth to communicate and can be “mouthy”. She would do best with older kids who understand she is being playful. Looking for a buddy to grab a morning coffee or late night ice cream treat with? Trixie would love to join you! She is an excellent car rider and knows how to “load up”. She is great on the leash and loves to go for walks and to dog friendly stores. She walks by people and dogs with ease. Trixie gets lots of zoomies- so a home with a fenced yard she can run around in would be ideal for her. Trixie potty trained and create trained. She is not the biggest fan of the crate and will complain for a while, but will settle down when she can no longer see you, for this reason she would not do well in an apartment. Trixie’s new family should expect to spend some time building trust until she knows this is her new home. She is shy in new places and with new people. Trixie met our housecat Biggie and was gently curious, giving respectful sniffs before moving along. She’s considered cat tolerant and could do well in a home with a dog-savvy feline who won’t mind the occasional gentle inspection. Trixie is searching for a peaceful home where she can feel safe and adored, a place with a yard to explore, and a person to lean into and little dogs to play with. She would love to go on a good walk or an adventure up the mountains. If you think Trixie might just be your perfect match, apply here and her coordinator will reach out! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/686a7f52abb88d9ce7062ead Questions? We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
