Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs after they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Well Howdy! I’m Houston! Just a sweet, southern mush if you ask anyone. I give out hugs and dog hair to anyone that will have it. I love a good game of fetch, playing in the water and enjoy all the pets’ belly rubs etc. I’m a smart chap too, I’m kennel trained, I walk politely on a leash, I know how to sit and lay down. I’m housebroken and I’m working on my recall skills. I’ve got a big heart, I’d give it to you if you’d let me! My dream home is one where I can play with my hoomans and cuddle at night watching movies, relaxing. I’ve got medium energy, I’m not to much but I’m not boring neither. I get along with dogs and cats, I’ve got my good pals here at the rescue. I’ll be waiting for somebody to scoop me up one of these days! Houston is about 2 years old and is around 43lbs. We believe he is a Australian Kelpie Mix (our best guess). He is neutered, update to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is currently on heartworm and flea preventative.

Story
My name is Jesse, and I have a heartwarming story to share with you. I may have had a rough start, but some incredibly kind-hearted ladies found me abandoned in a cage near a cemetery. It was a scary time for me, but their love and care have made all the difference. I'm starting to feel more comfortable and happy, especially when I get to play with the other big dog in my foster home. I'm a small guy, weighing only 18 pounds, and I'm about a year old. While I'm still learning to trust humans completely, I know that with a patient and understanding family, I'll be able to fully embrace the joy of life. I'm hoping to find a family that already has a friendly dog because having a furry friend by my side will help me continue to come out of my shell. Now, I do have a little quirk that I should mention. I tend to chase cats, so if you have feline friends who are not too fond of playful pups, then I might not be the perfect fit for you. But if you feel a special connection with me and believe you can offer me the loving forever home I deserve, I encourage you to visit funnyfarmpets.org and submit an adoption application. I'm healthy and all ready to be part of your family. Please note that my adoption fee is $300, and if you're not in the Memphis area, there will be an additional $200 for transport.

Story
If interested in learning more about Tino please contact Carrie Bowman 731-267-5535 or email cabowman67@yahoo.com for an application to adopt Tino was found as a stray left abandon to fend for herself. He is a little shy at first but warms up and adjust well. Tino is being fostered with dogs and cats and does great in his foster home. He loves his chew bones and can spend hours chewing on one quietly while laying next to you enjoying a great tv show. Tino has not been around kids that we know of and I think he would be great with older kids. Tino does enjoy going for walks and spending a little time out in the yard but not long as this boy loves being inside and around his person. Sweet Tino will need a patient home while he learns to bond and trust which usually only takes a few days or week. His foster mom says Tino is a very smart boy, behaves and listens better then her dogs. If you are looking for a sweet, loving, quiet boy then Tino is the one for you.

Story
Hi! My name is Carly. I’m a one and a half year old, black and tan, female and we believe my breed to be Australian Kelpie or an Australian Shepherd mix. Mainly I am mixed with love!  I am a very happy, energetic, loyal, alert, eager and extremely intelligent young dog with puppy like tendencies. Due to my breed, I am capable of untiring work and endless energy if so desired. I would fit in best with an active lifestyle that includes lots of opportunities to exercise in a large fenced-in yard where I can zip around and show off my athleticism. I can run really fast! My foster mom says I’m like a bullet when I’m running at top speed! Kelpies and Australian Shepherds prefer to have a job to do as they were created to herd sheep and cattle. I will need stimulation and small tasks to keep my mind active and my energy in check. A good jog or a workout combined with the mental exercise of obedience lessons would help me be my best version of myself. The mental exercise that the training provides would be a great way to keep me happy and involved. Training me for agility, obedience and rally are some great ways to give me some exercise. And although I sound like a lot of work, I can be chill as well so don’t be scared off!  I would be an excellent choice for adults and/or families with older (teenage) children that love to play and keep me entertained. WhiIe I love being super energetic, I also have an 'off’ switch too. I’m super happy if you take me out for a run, but I will be just as happy to settle down and snuggle on the couch afterwards to watch a movie. I enjoy being walked twice a day to sniff the neighborhood and do my business. I currently know how to sit and leave it. My foster mom is teaching me some additional words and some other useful commands as well. I am a quick learner! When you meet me you will notice that I have a great smile, love being petted, enjoy fetching and chewing on tennis balls, playing tug with my rope toy, and getting belly rubs. Scratches behind my ears make me very happy as well. I apologize upfront as I can be a bit bossy with other dogs…sorry…kind of a breed characteristic, so I would prefer to be an only dog and cats make my “chase” button turn on, so best to avoid those as well. But don’t worry, I can certainly fill up your home with lots of fur baby fun!        If you would like to open your heart and your home to me, please email storkwoods@comcast.net directly. This is the BEST way to get an application.
