🌟 Meet Mr. Bi: The Sassy, Sweet, Wheelchair-Wielding Wonder! 🌟 Hey, world! I’m Mr. Bi (that’s bee—not bi, don’t get any funny ideas!). I’m a 5-year-old paralyzed pup originally from Vietnam. My life started in a bit of a pickle, but I’m here to tell you that I’m one resilient, sassy dog who doesn’t know the meaning of “giving up.” 👑 Let’s talk about my journey: I was hit by a car in Vietnam, then sent to the U.S. for treatment. Sadly, the person I was sent to decided to leave me in a dark, rat-infested basement. 🐀 They called themselves a rescuer, but I call it “the worst AirBnB ever.” It was rough—super rough—and for months, I was locked in a crate and left to suffer. But hey, it only made me stronger. 💪 Fast forward to August 31, 2021—cue dramatic rescue music. With some strategic planning (and a whole lot of sass), I was finally freed from that nightmare. I had lost muscle tone, had some rat bites, and I was really thin—like, "please feed me, I look like a skeleton" thin. But now? Now I’m thriving. I’ve gained 9 pounds, built up my strength, and I’m showing off my wheelchair like it’s my personal limo. 🛺 So, what’s life like with me? I’m a paralyzed dog, yes, but I’m far from helpless. I LOVE to swim to build my strength (no big deal, I’m basically a doggie Olympian). I go for walks in my wheelchair, and let me tell you, I look fabulous doing it. I love being brushed, and I’ll take all the cuddles you’ve got. ❤️ BUT, here’s the fun part: I’m also a little mischief-maker. I’ve got a thing for sweatpants—don’t wear them around me unless you’re okay with me trying to pull them down. It’s hilarious, and I think you’ll agree once you see it. 😜 Despite everything, I’ve got a big, bold personality and a zest for life. I love people, kids, dogs, and cats (even though I’m not shy about letting you know what I want). I’ve been through a lot, but I’m finally ready for my forever home. 🏡💕 I flew all the way here for a better life—NOT to die. And trust me, I’m not just surviving—I’m living my best life. Meet Royalty, a sweet ~1-2 year old spayed female kelpie/terrier mix! She's a great size at about 32 lbs! Royalty is a shy girl at first, who takes some time to warm up to new people (especially men). However, she comes around with a little love and patience! She does best being introduced to new people slowly, sometimes outside throwing her treats. Fast movements and loud noises make her nervous and she may bark and/or growl. Because of this, we recommend a home with no young children. She does ok with older/dog savvy kids and has warmed up to her foster mom's grandson and will happily go for walks and cuddle with him! If you are patient with her and let her come to you on her own terms, she will eventually reward you with lots of cuddles and kisses once she has deemed you safe! Royalty is an energetic girl who enjoys going on walks and would love a fenced in yard of her own to run around and get out her energy! She also loves bones, lick mats, and puzzle toys. She is a very smart girl and knows many commands, including "sit", "down", "wait", "let's go", "paw", "other paw", and "leave it"! She is very food motivated and eager to learn - she would be a great candidate for training games and maybe even agility. She does great with other dogs after a proper intro and is BFFs with her foster fur sibling! Hello everyone! I am Goose in Terryville! Yes, yes, thank you - I am very handsome, aren’t I? Even if I am carrying a few extra pounds these days. Well, who isn’t at the age of 7 (or thereabouts - I’m not saying)? Although I do tolerate dogs and cats, I tend to want to be in charge all the time (duh), and of course all the people belong to me, so there can be conflict with others who won’t get with the program. And those kitties are SOOOOOO fun to herd that my foster Moms and the lady who picked me up think I’m probably best suited to a home where all the attention is mine and I don’t have to share (YES!!). I *may* be ok with a submissive female, but that would need to be evaluated with a meet and greet, and if there are other dogs / cats in the home, my adopted would need to be very experienced with how to manage different personalities so we were all set up to succeed. Because I like to herd, and because I am a bit of a drama queen when startled by young children, it is recommended that I go to a home without them. Older dog-savvy kids are OK. I can be loud and uneasy at first with strangers. If allowed some time to get used to them (and/or bribed with treats), I quickly lose interest in being dramatic and go for all the pets! I LOVE attention. Once I decide you’re ok, I want to be everywhere you are. In your lap, in whatever room you’re in, getting pet - I’ll roll right over for belly rubs once I’m comfortable. I give the BEST snuggles and smooches! I’m great in the car, not especially fond of vets but am muzzle-trained. I could also be given medication for that. I would do great with regular walks and my very own butler - er, person to love me and be my world. He is only about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is completely healed from that. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them.
