Story
Momma Donna is a Kelpie/Heeler mix girl that gave birth 3 months ago to 8 beautiful, wonderful Heeler puppies. This girl is 2 years old and only 42 pounds.  She is amazingly smart and seems to know exactly what you are saying to her.  We think that Momma Donna would be a perfect addition to a home with children who want to play and teach a dog some good tricks and manners.  She is willing to learn anything. Momma Donna is nicely housebroken and ready for a totally great and new life.  Momma Donna just needs a place to belong.   So, do you have a front porch and a hole in your heart ready to be filled by a loving and devoted dog who wants to walk down the road with you every day?   Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in Momma Donna.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 30, 2024, 5:09 pm

Story
Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.

I’m Emmie Lou, a 40lb, 2 year sweet and gentle girl with a heart as big as my beautiful smile. My coat is as soft and cozy as a warm blanket, with beautiful grey hues that are truly unique. I also have another uniqueness about me....when the camera comes out, if you're not quick, my ears disappear! :) I’m a quick learner when it comes to basic commands, and I’m already a pro at walking on a leash, being kennel trained, and staying potty trained. I get along famously with other dogs and I’m totally cool with kitties too. My gentle nature makes me a perfect fit for families with children of any age. I love the water, long walks, and exploring the great outdoors. Though I have a mellow disposition, I have a playful side too! I spent my early days in a junkyard, so I’ve been dreaming of a loving family to call my own. I can’t wait to become a cherished member of a family...YOUR family! Story
From Hamlet's foster mom: Hamlet is an affectionate, loving dog. He takes instruction very easily and is food/treat-motivated. He loves sleeping in a crate overnight, and whenever we leave the house for an extended time, is happy enough to be in there during the day even though his older foster brother is not crated. Hamlet has gotten along with anyone who visits, contractors at our house, other dogs at the dog park, loves to be outside (and goes out often daily), and does a great job leash walking the neighborhood with a Gentle Leader. He is an energetic but not excitable two-year-old who loves to run and play, is working on "fetch" and "bring", enjoys chew toys, snuggles on the couch and recliner, and has learned to sit and wait for his dinner. Hamlet would thrive with an active family with an outside fenced yard (although he could learn an electric fence probably as he is very smart) and while he has a gruff bark, does not use it frequently, only in play with his dog mates. He is short-haired and has taken well to being groomed as he enjoys touch. We think he is a wonderful mix of Labrador with Dutch shepherd, boxer, or American bulldog, or any of the above. Hamlet is, however, working on loving a car ride, and we believe with our frequent trips to the dog park he will soon love it. He is super friendly; we can't say enough about this foster, as he will make a loving family member.
