Story
Meet Royalty, a sweet 1 year old spayed female kelpie/terrier mix! She's a great size at about 26 lbs.  Royalty is a shy girl at first, who takes some time to warm up to new people (especially men). However, she comes around with a little love and patience! Due to her shyness, we recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space (or no kids). Royalty LOVES other dogs and would do best in a home with a doggo sibling(s) to play with and to keep her company! She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats. From Royalty's current foster:  "Royalty has settled into the daily routine quite well! Including hall zoomies with her stuffies, playtime with her foster doggo sibling, cuddles, belly rubs, "yoga stretch" time and walks.  Relationships to males has been wary, but her foster dad is now her friend. She is crate trained and ideally needs go outside every few hours if not crated. Royalty would have preferred to sleep in a human bed last night but was coaxed easily to her crate after some snuggles." She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special girl today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2338111##

Story
Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See her cute video.
