Story
Sasha is a loyal, loving and playful girl, with her person. She is a woman's dog and is house broken. Once she knows you, she listens well and just wants to be by your side at all times. Such a good girl knowing her basic commands and manners. We believe she will thrive with a woman that has no other dogs as Sasha does some guarding. She wants her person to herself. Although, she does get along with other dogs, she should be the only one in the home.  ##2593797##

Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels WASABI is a ~2-year-old, 31-lb long-haired, medium-sized pup with gorgeous eyes that is a mix likely of red heeler, kelpie, and shepherd. Because of his new surroundings, WASABI is very anxious and will need time, love and a quiet home to feel comfortable. He is too nervous for walks right now, but has the potential to be a loyal companion once he feels safe and secure. We can't wait to see the transformation in this pup once he has time to decompress in his new environment ! WASABI is quiet in the kennel and seems to be potty trained. He rides well in a car. WASABI will be current on his health vaccines, and will be neutered and microchipped for his forever family. Story
***NEEDS FOSTER or FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels WEST LEE is a ~2-year-old, 32-lb long-haired, medium-sized pup with gorgeous eyes that is a mix likely of red heeler, kelpie, and shepherd. Thank you to dedicated volunteer Gail Hughes who is giving our adoptable boy WEST LEE a temporary foster home with other big dogs so that he can recover from neuter surgery. We’ve learned so much more about him! WEST LEE walks well on leash in the yard and just ignores the friendly Shar Pei female when she is out with him. He knows ‘go potty’ when out in the yard. He does well in vehicles too. WEST LEE has just about mastered the “sit” command. We are still working on “paw” command and recall. Of course, all of those commands are ineffective if a squirrel is spotted! We suspect high prey drive. WEST LEE is learning to play—likes crinkle toys. He is usually unaffected by TV noise when laying beside his people on the couch, but will turn away and hide his eyes and nose in the blanket when it is too loud. He is still cautious around people when they are walking around. He seems to like cooler environments (pants to cool off if on cushy blanket). He loves scratches on his ears, chin and neck. He enjoys rub-downs with a towel to dry off. He is quiet (no barking), but has shared a cute Dolphin squeek. WEST LEE is not yet perfect…He sneaks balls of yarn out of project baskets. He has been caught counter surfing when there was some dog food left out. WES LEE will be current on his health vaccines, and will be neutered and microchipped for his forever family. Story
Meet Bella. A very loving, obedient, having plenty of energy, 6-7 yr old female Australian Kelpie who loves to play fetch, so much so that you will have to make her stop. She loves to relax and cuddle, and is a great watchdog. Walks well on a leash and will follow your lead rather than taking the lead and walking you. This is by no means her fault that I need to find her a new home, hopefully one that has plenty of room for her to run and possibly be the only pet, only because she loves to be the center of your attention. I must clarify her getting along with other dogs: Yes. She got along great with our male husky that we recently lost to kidney failure. and No. She is having issues with the new female husky that we just got. I'm still attempting to get her to change her mind, though.

Story
Meet Indy – The Spirited Little Kelpie with a Big Heart At just 3 years old and around 40 pounds, Indy may be small in size, but she’s bursting with personality, intelligence, and love. This Kelpie–Cattle Dog mix is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate — a lively companion who adores her people and thrives on interaction. Indy is currently in private training to help fine-tune her manners and work on her prey drive, and she’s making wonderful progress. She’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and food-motivated, which makes training sessions a joy. This sweet girl loves: Running the fence line and chatting with the neighbor dogs through the knotholes (she’s a social butterfly!). Helping in the garden, where she proudly “hunts” grasshoppers and voles — it’s her version of pest control! Watching out the window while you’re away, then greeting you like it’s been years, even if you just took the trash out. Playing with kids — she adores them and has a fun, gentle energy that matches well with families. Indy is well-behaved in the home, even when left alone, and though she isn’t crate-trained, she doesn’t need to be. She’s doing great with her basic commands and is learning better leash manners — a gentle over-the-nose leash helps her walk beautifully. She enjoys playing with other dogs but can be selective, so slow, proper introductions are key. Due to her background and instincts, she should avoid German Shepherds, as that’s one breed she doesn’t get along with well. Indy’s Ideal Home: A family with children or active adults who love to engage with their dog A secure fenced yard to explore and play Possibly a compatible dog companion (with good intros!) Someone patient and consistent who will continue her positive training Her Story Before rescue, Indy was a working ranch dog who’d fallen on hard times. Injured and pregnant, she was left to fend for herself outdoors through harsh winter conditions. She was found having dug a hole in the frozen ground to shelter her seven pups — Pearl, Opal, Jade, Arrow, River, Ash, and Archer — keeping them warm until help arrived. Her strength and devotion saved them all. Now, safe and healed, Indy is thriving in her foster home in Kimberly, Idaho, and is so ready for her forever family. Her foster loves her dearly and is even sponsoring 50% of her adoption fee to help her find the perfect match. Needs special attention,
Story
MEET TONNIE! Tonnie is a 2 year old Australian Kelpie mix looking for her furever home through PAWS Rescue, Inc. Tonnie is a sweet spirit. She loves to play with other dogs or alone with her toys. She enjoys a good walk or playing in the yard. One of her favorite things is to grab a drink as the water flows from the hose. Tonnie can be shy at first and needs someone who will be patient with her. She takes her time getting to know people, but once she feels safe, she's very affectionate. She loves back scratches, belly rubs, and snuggling up to watch TV. She loves treats and has a very soft approach to taking them. She knows the sit command and has good recall (most of the time!!) She's done very well at the dog park and at Club Hound. She seems to enjoy off-leash time with other dogs but has done well with pack walks, too. She hasn't spent a lot of time with my cat but appears to be non-reactive. She does have some visual impairment, which affects her very little. It's almost unnoticeable at home, but she occasionally runs into things if she's in unfamiliar territory. It has been a real pleasure fostering her and watching her blossom. We think she will make someone a great companion. Help our sweet Tonnie find her forever home!
