She has only been around older kids, so we are unsure how she would be with younger children. She still has a few accidents, which is expected coming in as a stray, but she is almost potty trained. She does take a moment to warm up and can get nervous in small/enclosed spaces, but she does fine on car rides and enjoys being a lap dog. Let Cami be the queen of your castle! She is such a sweet, shy girl who wants desperately to be loved and we have no doubt that she will steal your heart. She enjoys peaceful activities with her people. (Check out her fishing adventure in Minnesota last winter!) It's going to take Cami a bit to trust and she'd appreciate a home where there aren't a bunch of visitors coming and going. While she can be picky about her canine friends, a super social dog might just do the trick. Of course, Cami would be perfectly satisfied being your one and only, too. Either way, she promises to love you to the moon and back! Cami's around eight years old and is a very polite house guest. 🐾 Meet Auzie Auzie is a sweet 10-year-old Australian Shepherd who is ready for the soft, comfortable life he deserves. After being saved from a difficult situation by a caring neighbor, Auzie was nursed back to health and given the chance to start over. Despite everything he’s been through, this little 20-pound guy is incredibly sweet and loves being around people. Auzie is also good with other dogs, and his caregiver believes he would do well with children. His experience with cats is currently unknown. He walks nicely on a leash, keeps his crate clean, and is working on becoming more comfortable with crate training. As part of getting him healthy again, Auzie needed to have all of his teeth removed. He’s feeling much better now, but he’ll need to eat soft food for the rest of his life—a pretty small accommodation for such a special guy. At 10 years old, Auzie isn’t asking for much. He’s looking for a safe home, a cozy place to rest, and people who will make sure the rest of his life is filled with the love and care he should have had all along. This handsome guy loves to play and would make a great companion for someone looking for an active dog to join them on adventures. Despite his energetic side, Cooper knows how to be gentle — especially with kids. He has lived with three children who love petting and playing with him, and he does wonderfully with them. Cooper also does well with other dogs. He can be a little reserved when meeting a new canine friend, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up and start playing. Cooper is crate trained and has spent his life living both indoors and outdoors. Because of that, he may need a little patience and consistency as he adjusts to living fully indoors and learns the routines of his new home.
