Rowdy is stunningly beautiful and such a loving, easy-going guy. Anyone who meets him will fall in love with him. ⚠️ 🛑 Don't say we didn't warn ya! 🛑 ⚠️ He is a 2-year-old, under-40-pound Australian Shepherd with a luscious coat and gorgeous markings. Rowdy doesn’t quite live up to his name, because he is chill and adaptable – not at all a disruptive type. His foster family says he can be happy absolutely anywhere and will get along with anyone he meets. He comes when he’s called, and he knows sit and shake. He walks well on a leash, so you can pal around at home or around town. He peps up for playtime and likes to chase the ball, fling around a stuffie or settle in with a yummy chew toy. Pretty much, he likes whatever is going on and whomever he is with. He gets along well with other friendly dogs, and most of the time he listens to his people. There are some times he might not agree with your decision-making – like, when you have to go inside and do boring work when it’s a perfectly lovely day outside – but he’ll eventually relent and do what he is supposed to. Rowdy is just a wonderful dog buddy who wants to enjoy life with the people he loves. Could those people be you? He is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, and is typical of this wonderful breed, looking for action and intellectual stimulation. He weighs about 60 pounds. Tyson is well trained and knows tons of commands, including: sit, stay, lay down and shake. He is also responsive to whistles, and he will wait until his command to eat his food. He walks fine on a leash and is crate trained and house trained. Show him or teach him what else you would like him to do, and he’ll be all about it. Tyson is affectionate and loving to his people, and he gets along well with kids. You’ll want to pet that beautiful coat of his, and he’ll be happy to let you! He’ll do best in an active home with people who will further this training and give him opportunities to do jobs and/or go on outings, to feed that bring brain of his. Josie was adopted over a year ago at Wayside Waifs, she is a 2 year old Australian shepherd mix (possibly blue heeler). She is a very sweet girl who’s really affectionate/ outgoing and loves people. She loves to burn off energy by going on walks and doing enrichment activities, unfortunately we are not able to home as much to give her all the attention and care she needs and are looking to find her a loving home and that can give her the best life possible!

This is Rusty, he’s a 9 month old border collie mix with what I believe is Australian shepherd. He’s truly one of the most loving dogs I have ever owned, and it’s extremely hard for me to find him a new owner but i’m left with no other choice, as I’m about to be a firefighter and going through a divorce. I know he deserves more than being trapped in a kennel alone for a majority of his day. He’s a very high energy furball and honestly he is a handful to deal with at times, but very worth it. He still needs some house training, when I adopted him he was just chained to a tree all day. But he’s gotten much better around the house over time, he still has accidents on occasion but he’s typically good at letting you know when he needs to go out. He’s is also kennel trained He’s very good with other dogs and loves to play. He would be extremely happy with a fenced in yard, as he loves to grab his ball and just zoom around

Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 1 year old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children. Merlin has the potential to be an amazing companion, he just needs someone who will give him the time he needs to adjust

Jamie is a very sweet and snuggly girl! She has really bad anxiety and because of that she barks a ton and chews on anything she can get her paws on. She doesn’t like being left alone for more than a few hours. Very playful and a lot of crazy mixed in- she likes to wrestle with dogs her size, so she can get a little much at times with that and her bark. At the moment she’s in the kennel a lot more than I’d like her to be, but unfortunately have made the decision to try and find a new loving home for her, where she can run, play, snuggle, etc. I got her from a shelter in Oklahoma in August of 2025 and she is about to be two in August of 2026. She needs someone who can be there with her a lot to play and probably go on walks. I also have been wanting to get her into obedience classes, but don’t have the funds at the moment to get her in. My work schedule doesn’t allow for me to be home very much in the evenings and late nights, same as my parents schedules as well. Any concerns?
