Smokie is as handsome as he is well mannered. He originally came from a breeder and lived with a family (including 4 kiddos) for almost 2 years. When the family moved out of state, he was kept in a friend’s shed until the shelter would take him in.We’ve learned many things about this very good boy since coming under our care. Besides being house trained and knowing basic commands, he’s also good in the car, leash trained, and is up for any adventure. We’ve had a few field trips with Smokie to the Mueller area. I began fostering Bruce for a friend who was having some medical issues and had just began fostering him herself. He’s partially trained but needs some more work and someone that can dedicate more time to him. He is crate trained and house trained and has had no inside plumbing issues since I first took him in mid-October. I take him to the dog park regularly and he gets along well/plays well with the other dogs.

Meet Bella! She is a very sweet 2 year old female Kelpie/GSD mix, and is UTD on shots, spayed, and on monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Bella has undergone successful heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! Bella doesn’t do great with small dogs (under 20lbs) but she’s perfect with all other dogs, male and female. Bella is very kid friendly. She is more of a submissive, low key dog, with bursts of energy but 90% of the time wanting to be by your feet laying down sleeping. She does need some work on leash manners and not jumping on guests when they enter the house. Bella does not bark at all. She does whine a bit in her crate at first but quickly stops. She is completely housebroken and crate trained. She’s the sweetest dog who just wants love all day every day and to spend every waking moment by the people she loves. Big and small. Yoda is deaf but does know some sign language. He is a very loved and letting him go is very sad for us. Since our daughter has come along it is no longer safe to have him in our home. Yoda has an extensive bite history and overall does not accept being pet or touched in any fashion. He has come a long way and has received extensive behavioral training. However, he must be treated with extreme caution. He looks very friendly and he is so long as he is not touched. His love language is treats, chew toys and walks. He was adopted at around 1 and we think his environment combined with his inability to hear triggered extreme anxiety around touch and separation. The ideal person for him would be someone who also needs space but seeks to have a companion nearby. Yoda has separation anxiety so it is ideal if his new owner works from home. We would love for him to go to home which can provide him the space to be free. We are unsure how he would do around farm animals. Must keep away from kids.
