Story
Meet Amber, a sweet and gentle older puppy with a heart full of love. Though shy and a bit nervous, she`s incredibly curious and alert, always ready to explore her surroundings with gentle enthusiasm. However, leash walking is not one of her skills, nor is house training, so she`ll need your guidance. Amber is the epitome of affection, offering cuddles and kisses to anyone willing to sit with her. She`s a 25-pound perfect lap dog, seeking comfort and giving it in return. Her submissive, eager nature makes her an ideal companion. We haven`t seen her interact with children or dogs yet and she seems to be unsocialized but she`s friendly. Adopt Amber and discover the joy of unconditional love and loyalty. (tw 11/29/2025)

Story
On November 11, 2018, Simon and Travis came into our world. Two precious little boys that were part of a 22 dog, court ordered seizure. Three rescues were involved, and vets were on standby, waiting for the dogs to be captured and delivered. When we arrived at the location , there were 22 numbered collars on a table , cadaver bags available. As the dogs are caught, they are crated in the closest vehicle. Once the vehicle is full it heads to the clinic. The dogs were in serious condition. Purebreds, mixes, pregnant, you name it. Whatever dog(s) end up in your vehicle, you take. After being released from the vet,the boys arrived at Lucies and were put in major quarantine for a month. We noticed that they seemed to have a fondness for each other. Carrying on little conversations through the fence. They were overjoyed when we put them into a yard together. We also noticed that they were similar in a number of ways. They insist on eating and sleeping together, although they curse each other in their very own language while they do it. We have no doubt that they are brothers. In all the chaos that day, Simon and Travis were loaded into Lucies vehicles. Luck??? Please pardon the length of this post, we can’t split them up. Last month they received a clean bill of health and are ready for adoption. Please share their story, there has to be someone that needs some laughter and love in their lives. Simon and Travis are crate and leash trained. They will follow off lead. Kid and K9 friendly. Approximately 6 years old and weighing about 35-40 pounds. Thanks y’all 🐾💙! *** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Story
We believe Bluebell is a lovable, goofy Kelpie mix who’s on a journey to a healthier life! Bluebell came to us a year ago in a morbidly obese state weighing 72 lbs. Bluebell is making fantastic progress, and is close to her ideal weight at 40lbs.  Bluebell’s sweet and playful nature truly shines. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, loves people and has a heart full of love to share. Her exact breed mix remains a bit of a mystery, but her Kelpie-like appearance adds to her unique charm. Bluebell was adopted in November 2024 in January she experienced a seizure and her family felt they were unable to continue her care.since her return Bluebell has been seizure free but we have maintained her on a regular medication schedule. This medication is inexpensive and may not be needed for life. We believe she is 5-6 years old and otherwise healthy. Her seizure could have been a single event due to eating something, but we will likely never know for sure. This sweet girl would love to bring her family all the joy she has, and she hopes this minor medical event won't stop someone from loving her. Bluebell is ready to bring joy and laughter to a loving home that will support her continued weight loss journey and appreciate her delightful personality. Are you ready to welcome this bundle of love into your life?   ##2464115##

Story
LOVES TO SNUGGLE AND GET OODLES OF ATTENTION  Estimated DOB 3/25/24, weight 40 lbs. This young girl Calliope is very sweet and playful, and has energy to spare!  Her foster home has several dogs and Calliope wants to play -- er -- wrestle with all of them.  She loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with her stuffed animal toys, and snuggle on the couch for movie time. Calliope was abandoned in the parking lot of a PetSmart but fortunately, her future foster mom worked at the store and scooped her right up! Calliope knows Sit and Wait, and likes to sleep in her crate at night.   Calliope would love a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise as well as have a canine brother or sister to play with.  Is that you? HOPE ID D24-1116-0045 Calliope's $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. I was seen on-off at a work site out in the country for about two weeks. One day, one of the workers found me on the road, panting, thin and lethargic. He got concerned so he contacted SPOT to see if we could help - and we did! Although SPOT has helped me get better and provided me a temporary home, I would love to find my forever home!
