Sweet puppy Prince is a 20 months old Australian Kelpie, who loves other dogs. He is very well behaved, mild mannered, obedient pup. Prince was found starving and neglected, when our vet tech rescued him to save his life. Prince also got 2 weeks obedience training and his trainer said that he is one of the best pups they have had in their program. Prince loves his chew toys and treats. He is currently living with his best friend Pongo and they are inseparable. We are hoping they can be adopted together but he can be with any pup, he is such a good boy. Prince is 40 lb. He is fully vetted, and neutered. He is also chipped and heartworm negative. His adoption fee includes all his shots (DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella) as well as heartworm test, and neuter surgery, and deworming schedule. Prince is being fostered in Texas, and can travel to any state, and even Canada to the right home. To adopt our puppies, yards must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences. If, after meeting a pup, the foster parent or the adoption applicant do not feel they are a good fit for each other, we often offer other pups who are better fit. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. Sweetest boy you’ve ever met, absolute cuddle bug who’ just wants quality time with his people. Loves spending time with his humans on or off the couch, loves trail walking and the dog park, great with kids and loves human attention. Is happiest when he’s hiking on a trail with his people. Good with other dogs but wouldn’t trust him with cats. House trained, has basic dog training, is smart as a whip and VERY eager to please when food is involved. Has some medical issues that are fairly simple to manage - special no fat diet and no human food whatsoever- but otherwise is happy and active. One of the most lovable dogs I’ve ever met and have had the pleasure of raising for years. Unfortunately I’m going through some life transitions that make me unable to pay him enough attention and would love to find him a home that can treat him like the prince he is. He really is beyond precious to me, and I really hope to find someone who’d love him as much as I do.
