Story
Jubal Sex: Female Breed: Shepherd Mix Age: Approximately 5 years old Good with: Dogs Not recommended with: Cats Crate Trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Jubal is one of those special dogs whose true personality shines once she knows she’s safe. While she may be shy and fearful when meeting new people, beneath that timid exterior is a bubbly, goofy girl with a heart of gold. Her favorite place to nap is upside down on the couch with her belly in the air, and she loves joining other dogs for playtime before settling in for a well-earned snooze. She’s crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has wonderful manners around other dogs. Jubal has experienced significant trauma in her life, so she needs a patient adopter who understands that trust isn’t built overnight. She has never shown aggression—when she’s nervous, she simply cowers and quietly accepts handling. Once she feels secure, her sweet, smiley personality begins to blossom. Her ideal home is calm, gentle, and patient, preferably with another confident, friendly dog who can help her continue building confidence. Because of her unique needs, potential adopters will spend time visiting Jubal in her foster home before adoption so she can develop trust and feel comfortable with her future family. If you’re willing to let Jubal move at her own pace, you’ll discover an incredibly loyal companion with one of the purest souls you’ll ever meet. Sometimes the greatest love stories are the ones that take a little time to unfold.  ##2513638##

Story
Meet Capri Capri is a stunning 2-year-old, 30-pound blue merle Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix with striking eyes and an even more beautiful heart. She is spayed, potty trained, and ready to start the next chapter of her life with a family who will love her forever. Before coming to Belle’s Buds Rescue, Capri experienced more heartbreak than any dog should. Her original owner gave her away, and the person who took her abandoned her in the country. When Animal Control found her, they scanned her microchip and contacted her original owner, who chose to surrender her instead of bringing her home. We gave her a new name because we believe she deserves a fresh start—and from this point forward, her story will be one of love, stability, and second chances. Capri has wonderful house manners. She is potty trained, settles in nicely indoors, and enjoys relaxing on the couch near her people. She is a calm companion who would much rather spend time with her family than be in the middle of constant excitement. She coexists well with other respectful, calm dogs but isn’t interested in rough play or wrestling. If another dog is too persistent, Capri communicates appropriately by letting them know she’d rather have her space. Because of this, she’d do best with a laid-back canine companion or as the only dog, where she can soak up all the attention herself. She also does well around cats, making her a great fit for many different households. Capri is looking for a family that understands she may need a little time to settle into her new home. Once she feels safe, you’ll have a loyal, loving companion who simply wants what she’s never truly had—a home where she’ll never be abandoned again. Currently being fostered in Texas. Transport is available to approved adopters throughout the United States. If you’re looking for a beautiful, calm, loyal companion who deserves a fresh start, Capri may be the perfect addition to your family.  ##2799421##

Story
We were given Buddy back in 2018, he was given to my brother who gave him to us. He is now 8 years old. He is smart, house trained and loves to play. He loves going on walks and has been around small dogs and a cat and has done well with them. He does require an experienced dog owner because he does have food aggression and has bitten one person when Buddy was about 2 years old. He is wary of strangers and he can be aggressive. He needs to be muzzled at the vet and when he is getting groomed. We don’t know if he is even adoptable but we have to try. We have to find him a new home because he is growling at our baby and we don’t trust him with our toddler. He can’t go to a house with kids.
