Story
Meet Vaca Female DOB: 4/4/2020 Weight: 65 lbs Breed: Kelpie / Terrier Mix Spayed (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Vaca is a survivor in the truest sense—and yet, somehow, she’s still one of the most loving souls you could ever meet. She was hit by a car and carries some physical scars from her past, but what’s remarkable is that her spirit was never broken. Instead of fear, she chose love. Instead of shutting down, she stayed open, gentle, and trusting. Today, she stands strong, healthy, and ready for a family who will finally give her the life she deserves. Personality Vaca is sweet, resilient, and incredibly loving. She has a calm but steady presence and forms deep bonds with her people. There’s a softness to her that you don’t often see—she appreciates love in a way that feels genuine and earned. She enjoys being near her people and brings a comforting, grounded energy into the home. Despite everything she’s been through, she continues to trust and love wholeheartedly. Breed Info As a Kelpie / Terrier mix, Vaca carries a unique combination of traits: The Kelpie’s intelligence, loyalty, and awareness The Terrier’s determination and personality This makes her a dog who is attentive, adaptable, and connected to her people. She will enjoy regular walks and engagement but also settles nicely into a home environment. Ideal Home Vaca would thrive in a loving, stable home where she is treated as part of the family. She doesn’t need perfection—just someone who will see past her scars and recognize the incredible dog she is. Owner Responsibilities Vaca will need routine, care, and consistency. Like all dogs, she requires proper nutrition, exercise, and ongoing veterinary care. Most importantly, she needs a family who will commit to her for life. Things to Consider Her past does not define her—but it is part of her story. Please ensure your home, time, and finances are ready for the responsibility of a dog. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, Vaca will truly blossom. Veterinary Care Vaca is fully vetted, but we always recommend bringing her to your own veterinarian after adoption to continue her care. Important Note Vaca is an indoor family dog. She is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Meet Apollo Breed: Husky / Kelpie Mix Sex: Male DOB: 10/2/2022 Weight: 46 Pounds Health: Neutered, vaccinated, and a cancer survivor Apollo is more than just a dog — he’s a true survivor with a heart full of love and resilience. After bravely going through 10 rounds of chemotherapy, Apollo has shown incredible strength and determination. Today, he’s a happy, loving boy who hasn’t let his past define him. Instead, he embraces life with joy, energy, and a deep desire to finally have a family of his own. Personality Apollo is friendly, affectionate, and full of life. He loves people and does wonderfully with kids, making him a great family companion. He also gets along well with other dogs and enjoys both playtime and companionship. Apollo has a loving, loyal nature and thrives when he is around his humans. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you on walks, adventures, or simply relax by your side at the end of the day. Breed Info Husky and Kelpie mixes are intelligent, active, and highly loyal dogs. Huskies are known for their friendly nature and love of companionship, while Kelpies bring focus, energy, and a strong desire to engage. This combination creates a dog who enjoys both physical activity and mental stimulation. With proper exercise and structure, dogs like Apollo become incredibly devoted companions who thrive when included in daily life. Owner Responsibilities Apollo will do best with an adopter who can provide regular exercise, engagement, and companionship. Daily walks, playtime, and mentally stimulating activities will help keep him balanced and happy. Continued positive reinforcement training will strengthen his bond with his adopter and give him structure. Given his medical history, ongoing attention to his health and routine vet care will be important. ⚠️ Things to Consider Before adopting Apollo, it’s important to consider your long-term stability and lifestyle. Are pets allowed where you live now and in the future? If you move, will Apollo move with you? Do you have time each day for exercise, companionship, and engagement? Are you financially prepared for routine veterinary care and any future needs? Dogs like Apollo deserve a home that will stand by them for life. Vet Care Apollo has already shown incredible strength through his treatment, and continued veterinary care will be important to support his long-term health. Establishing care with your own veterinarian soon after adoption will help ensure he continues to thrive and receive proper monitoring. Understanding the 3-3-3 Rule Like most rescue dogs, Apollo will need time to adjust to his new home. The first 3 days he may feel unsure as he decompresses. The first 3 weeks he will begin learning your routine and feeling more secure. By 3 months, his confidence will grow and his loving personality will fully shine. Patience and consistency during this time will help him settle in successfully. Why Apollo? Apollo has already proven how strong and resilient he is. Now, he’s ready for the life he truly deserves — one filled with love, stability, and companionship. Dogs like Apollo don’t just love… they love deeply. The family who gives him a home will gain a loyal, grateful companion who will cherish every moment by their side. Story
Spot is smart and timid. We’ve had him for almost 8 years, since he was a puppy. He’s been good with all of my kids, even really young as long as they know how to treat a dog. He’s a lot more timid around my husband and other men. He’s also more way around other dogs but has warmed up to them and started playing with them. He likes to play with and be loved on by my kids. Once he’s comfortable with you he’s a really sweet dog. He did go after the only cat he’s been around so I don’t think he should go anywhere with cats. He’s smart, I think he’s the brains behind getting through the fence. He and my other dog have gotten through twice and killed the neighbor’s chickens. But digging and trying to get out were never a problem until neighbors moved in last year with chickens. I’m concerned that if they get through the fence again they will be put down and I don’t want to take that chance.

Story
Planning a camping trip?well you can`t forget the S`mores! This sweet 2 Year old girl has been with us since March 3rd and has had nothing but amazing behavior! She is affectionate, well behaved, and a quick learner showing that this girl is perfect for any home! She has not met with any kids however, we think she would have no issue once she realizes they can come with treats and some loving. She has shown amazing leash skills, and would just prefer to stay next to who ever is with her. S`mores may need some time to warm up to people and pups, just so she can get used to you but when she loves you, she`ll love hard! S`mores is dog friendly, always ready to play and hang out with the closest person or pup, but makes it known when she`s done and ready for a cuddle session. S`mores has shown amazing behavior while in a car, staying calm and composed even when met with the most overwhelimg experience - the car wash. While out for the day with a volunteer S`mores braved the danger of the multicolored soap with a smile on her face and just one request, maybe a pup cup next time?
