Story
Meet Dingo Star, a distinguished gentleman with a playful side and impeccable manners—he even wipes his feet after going to the restroom! Dingo is full of charm and personality, and he absolutely adores people. Whether he’s out for a stroll or just watching the world go by, he’s happiest when he’s with his favorite humans. While Dingo is reactive to other dogs and would most likely need to be the only pet in the home (or it would need to be the perfect fit!) , he more than makes up for it with his affection and enthusiasm. He’s a cuddle bug through and through, and his love for squeaky toys knows no bounds! Playtime is one of his favorite parts of the day, and he brings so much joy and fun to every moment. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who’ll stick by your side and keep you smiling, Dingo Star might just be your perfect match!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi friends! My name is Dochi. I’m about 3-years old and weigh around 40 pounds.  I appear to be a kelpie mix, but that’s just my best guess.  I’m a very sweet, slightly nervous girl ready to learn all the things that good dogs do! I don’t bark, jump or shed much and I really like exploring new things. Sometimes loud noises and new people make me nervous.  I like a slow introduction and then we can be friends! I’m just now getting acquainted with all of the best things in life like car rides, walks, toys and scratches from nice people.  So far it’s all pretty amazing, but I still have a lot I need to learn.  Maybe you can teach me! I’m currently working on crate and potty training.  I’ve really got the crate figured out and I’m starting to get the hang of this potty thing too, if you keep me on a schedule.  I sleep all night in my crate and I don’t make a sound! I even go in on my own just to relax.  It’s a great place for me when I’m feeling anxious.  Like any young dog, I love to run and play! Wrestling with my foster brother is new and fun, but I can be a bit bossy at times. I do need some kind of exercise every day, especially in the morning.  This helps me feel calmer throughout the day.  As far as leashed walks go, I’m just now getting used to being on a leash.  I’m making progress and getting used to how it works.  If you spend a little time showing me what to do, I’ll be a super-star! I’m currently living with kitties in my foster home, but we’re leading separate lives because I tend to chase them.  Something you should definitely know about me—I’m REALLY going to love you and want to spend ALL of my time right by your side!  I’m a velcro kind of dog and want to be your constant companion. Want to know another fun fact about me?  I like to nibble when I’m happy.  My foster family calls me The Nibbler. This isn’t really chewing, just my way of saying I’m happy.  I haven’t been around kids much, but respectful, gentle kids over about 12 years old are probably good for me. If you think we’d be a good fit, apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 2, 2025, 4:23 pm

Story
Take a minute to get to know Nala, a 7-year-old Heeler mix, weighing in at 40 lbs. Nala is such a sweet and easygoing pup! She enjoys gentle strolls and light exploring, but she’s not the type to dash around or engage in rough play. She’s really good with the other dogs in her foster home, even stepping in to correct the more energetic ones. Ideally, she’d love to hang out with dogs more in her age range. We’re not sure how she feels about cats, though. Like many dogs adjusting to a new place, Nala had a few accidents when she first moved in. But don’t worry—she caught on quickly and now she’s doing great with her house training! Now, Nala is a bit on the heavier side; in fact, she almost doubled her weight since being in the shelter last year. Weight control may be a lifelong challenge her new family will need to keep an eye on that throughout her life. One of Nala’s favorite spots is sleeping right next to the bed on the floor. She also loves to curl up at my feet on the couch. You can tell she was really cherished in her previous home, which will make it easier for her to adjust to a new forever home where she is loved and appreciated. Nala has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Nala, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). Story
Meet Pita, a 4-month-old, 16 lb. Heeler mix with adorable black and white spots and a cute speckled snout. He’s expected to be medium-sized when fully grown. Pita’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly smart! He loves to play with dogs of all sizes, from his much bigger Great Dane foster sister to his little mini dachshund foster brother. And when he’s not playing, he’s all about cuddles with his humans. Pita would thrive in an active home with a yard to run and explore. As with any puppy, he’s still learning the basics—potty training, chewing habits, and manners—but he’s very food-motivated and receptive to training. He’s already crate-trained and quickly learning he doesn’t need to guard his food. One of his foster family’s favorite things about Pita is how incredibly sweet he is. He loves affection and will press his face into yours for love after his naps. If you’re looking for a fun, loving, and adventurous puppy, Pita is the perfect match! Pita is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home. Interested in adopting Pita?
