Story
Barley is truly one of a kind! He’s a 13 month old mixed breed (Aussie, German Shepherd and Husky). We adopted him from a family friend whose dogs unexpectedly had a litter of 6 puppies. He is intelligent, athletic, friendly and playful. He enjoys playing with squeaky toys, hikes and chasing shadows and lights. Barley can catch a frisbee and enjoys long runs. Unfortunately he gets car sick on long car rides. He deserves a home with lots of space to run. With the right training, love and care, Barley has such great potential. We are hoping to give him to owners who love the outdoors and can give him a fulfilling life.

Story
Cooper is a full grown typical Aussie. He's pretty good natured. He has mostly grown up in a house, but there were too many people and dogs in the house. He just wasn't getting what he needed. He is a loyal boy and loves being with his people. Because he has not had the attention he deserves I'm hoping he can be the only dog. He will be your Velcro. He really aims to please. When I say go in your crate or kennel, which he's never had to do until being in rescue he jumps on me to give me a hug and stares in my eyes as if he's going to persuade me to change my mind. He's such a sweet boy and doesn't like to fight other dogs - he needs his best friend. Cooper is learning discipline right now and he is very willing to please. He is your average Australian Shepherd although he's shown no interest in chasing the cattle or horses on the ranch. He just has those anxious tendencies, although this mostly comes from being in a new atmosphere around many other rescue dogs and he's not sure where he fits in. Once he is with his family I am almost sure he will relax. The most relaxed he is is when he is in the house with me and no other dogs present. That's how I know he'll be an incredible companion. At the moment he doesn't travel well in the car. We are trying to get him use to car rides, so he doesn't drool and get sick. Other than that he's practically perfect. Please fill out an application. Story
Meet Anya — Your New Adventure Buddy and Loyal Shadow (Pronounced “Awn-yuh”) Anya is a 5½-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who’s equal parts athlete, cuddle bug, and loyal best friend. At about 40–45 lbs, she’s the perfect mid-size companion for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle — and a dog who wants to be right there with you. She’s happiest by your side, whether you’re curled up at home or heading out on a hike. Anya has lived with her littermate sister since puppyhood (and they’re a wonderful duo if you’re looking for a pair!), but she’s also perfectly content being an only dog in a calm, loving home. She’s house-trained, crate-trained (though she’d much rather be on the couch next to you), and professionally trained on both leash and e-collar. Her recall is excellent — she’s been trusted off leash often — though she’ll need time to build that same confidence with her new family. She LOVES going out for walks, hikes, or runs and truly thrives when included in daily activities. Anya is a bit of a talker — she’ll happily “chat” when she’s excited or wants to tell you how thrilled she is to go on an adventure. Once she’s had her exercise, she settles beautifully indoors and just wants to relax near her favorite people. She’s fantastic with kids, great with other dogs, and friendly with strangers. With cats, she can learn to coexist as long as introductions are slow and supervised — she is an Aussie, after all, and that prey drive is part of the package. Anya’s ideal home is with an outdoorsy couple or active family who wants a loving companion in everything they do. She doesn’t really play fetch (she prefers exploring and wrestling with her sister), but she’s smart and eager to learn whatever you’d like to teach her. Her current owner loves her deeply but travels too much to give her the stability she deserves. Anya may be shy at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’ll show you just how special she truly is — devoted, joyful, gentle, and absolutely ready to be someone’s best dog ever.

Story
Meet Luna — The Ultimate Snuggle Buddy and Trail Explorer Luna is a 5½-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as her enthusiasm. Weighing about 40–45 lbs, she’s the perfect balance of affectionate lap dog and adventurous trail companion. Luna lives for being close to her people — she’ll happily snuggle for hours if you let her, and she’s just as excited to head out for a hike or romp through the outdoors. She has lived her entire life with her littermate sister, Anya, and they are truly inseparable best friends. If you’ve ever considered adopting a bonded pair, these two would brighten your world. But Luna will also thrive as an only dog in a loving, active home where she gets plenty of attention. Luna is house-trained, crate-trained (though she’ll give you her best sad eyes if you close that door), and professionally trained on leash and e-collar. Her recall is excellent, and she’s used to spending most of her day side-by-side with her human. She loves other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. Luna does well with children, though she’s most comfortable around older kids (about 6+), who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. Cats are a maybe — slow, supervised introductions are key, as her herding instincts and prey drive may kick into gear. She absolutely loves going out for daily walks, hikes, or runs. And when she’s happy and excited? Luna is a total talker — she’ll “woo-woo” her feelings with the cutest Aussie vocal commentary you’ve ever heard. After her adventures are done, she’s all about leaning in for snuggles and soaking up affection. Her current owner adores her but travels too often to give Luna the stable lifestyle she deserves. She will do best with an outdoorsy couple or active family who can offer companionship, structure, and lots of love. With a little patience and time to bond, Luna will show you exactly who she is — a joyful, loyal, cuddly best friend ready to share life’s adventures and your favorite spot on the couch.

Story
Meet Sundance – A Sweet Aussie Looking for More Space! Sundance is a lovable, 40-pound Aussie who was surrendered by his owner due to some sibling dynamics with his brother, Butch. Littermate syndrome made things a bit challenging, and Sundance was feeling frustrated. He’s now looking for a home where he can get the space and attention he deserves. Although he hasn’t spent much time indoors, he’s been on plenty of walks with his family and does great on a leash. He’s got the perfect energy level for a home with room to run and an active family who can give him the time he craves. If you’re ready to continue the Aussie legacy and provide this sweet boy with a fresh start, give me a call or text. Thanks, Linda.
