Story
Everyone welcome MAX!! Maximillion (his given name, but we just call him MAX or MAXI) is a GORGEOUS 7-month-old Australian Shepherd. Yes, there is a lot of white. No, he is not deaf or special needs. Still just a pup, his current weight is 34 pounds, so anticipate him getting around 50–65 pounds. Originally found in a ditch in Jersey with a littermate, he has lived with cats and small kids. Although he is currently being fostered with small dogs, he can be dog-selective depending on the other dog. If the other dog is controlling or overly corrective, it would not be an ideal fit. He was an owner surrender when mom went back to work and the family realized they simply didn’t have the time, space, or even the knowledge to give a pup with this much energy what he truly needs. Max needs a home with a yard, as he has a lot of energy, and apartment living would not be ideal. He also struggles with some separation anxiety due to always having someone home with him in his previous homes — and boy, does this kid have a strong bark (common with the breed, as they were bred to control, herd, and be heard). With daily walks, training, rules, and boundaries, Max will SHINE so bright. This consistency will also help with his housetraining. Someone with Australian Shepherd experience would be most ideal. He is incredibly smart and just loves to love you — he has no idea about personal space. MAX is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered and microchipped on 2/6/2026. Do you have knowledge of the breed and the time and patience to help make MAX the bestest boy, and want to be considered as his furever family? Fill out an application, and let’s see if we can make a match. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/PPFL-A-4047 Our adoption radius is 150 miles from Jacksonville, FL. All other pets in the home must be current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and on heartworm prevention.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Atlanta, GA Meet Hudson Fox! He is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix and weighs between 45-50 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Hudson Fox is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around kids. He is good with cats! No dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate trained. Hudson Fox has bitten 3 people. He bit the owner in May 2023 when they attempted to put a muzzle on him while at the vet clinic. He bit the owner’s friend on the hand in May 2024 when meeting him for the first time. Hudson Fox also bit the owner in October 2024 when they attempted to clean his paws after he had an accident in the house. The owner is surrendering him because of his severe anxiety. He also needs an environment with a fenced-in yard, so he can run. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Hudson Fox, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Hudson Fox. Story
Halsey is a sweetheart, but tends to be on the shyer side around new people until she feels comfortable and safe with them. She has thrived in her foster home where she is around many other dogs, older kids, and many many cats. She is curious about the cats, but will leave them alone when redirected. She loves to snuggle with other dogs and the person she is most comfortable with (her foster dad right now). She will do great in a home where she is allowed to relax and adjust to her new home with love and patience.
