Story
Blue is an almost 5 year old blue Merle standard Aussie. He is about 45lbs. We got Blue when he was 8 weeks old from a breeder in South Florida. His birthday is May 24th. He CANNOT go to a home with young kids. He has a bite history involving young children and that is his only reason for rehoming. Blue loves to play fetch, run around the yard, catch footballs, and lay on your lap at the end of the day to get cuddles. He is a VERY anxious and nervous dog towards new people. When warmed up the correct way (takes time to gain his trust) he does fine with other adults male or female but always warms up quicker to females. He also loves bath time and getting brushed. Has always been groomed at home. He has only been around two family dogs and does fine with those. Unknown how he will do with strange dogs or cats. He needs lots of attention, play time, cuddle time, and most importantly love.

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Sanderson, FL Meet Bobo! He is an 7 year old Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler mix and weighs 70 lbs. He is microchipped and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered or up to date on shots. He has an appointment on 3/7 to get up to date on shots. Bobo is good with female dogs! He hasn’t been tested around children. No cats or larger male dogs, due to his reactivity! The owner is surrendering him due to personal health issues and not being able to provide the attention that he needs. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Bobo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Bobo. Owner’s Contact Information: Brenda Dowling at (904) 708-9831 or brendavdowling@gmail.com.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Jacksonville, FL Meet Blue! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 47 lbs. He is microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered. Blue is fearful around strangers (he warms up quicker to females when introduced properly). He hasn’t been tested around cats or other dogs, but is fine with the dogs inside of his home. No kids, due to his reactivity! He loves to play fetch, run around the yard, and snuggle up on your lap! Blue has had 3 bite incidents last year. He bit a toddler on the forehead. He bit a child when they approached him on the couch with a big toy. He also bit the owner’s toddler after she approached him and tried to pet him in the kitchen. The owner is surrendering him because he has bitten their young children and shown aggression towards them. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for him, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Blue. Owner’s Contact Information: Dayana Alvarez at dayana_01@hotmail.com.

Story
Meet Roo. She is approx 3 yrs old and 32 lbs. Roo came to ASF from a hoarding situation and therefore was not socialized with people. She has been spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She has a beautiful black and white coat with a few freckles. She is very shy and timid around new people. It took her a few months to warm up to her foster family. She is great with other dogs. To help with her progress, she really needs to go to a home with a well balanced happy dog. She feeds off of the other dogs. If they are happy to see other people, she will be too. She loves to play with her younger foster brother. Roo is crate trained and housebroken (although she does have an accident on occasion if not taken out before going to bed). She never soils her crate. Roo is very sweet and is going to need a patient owner to allow her to come out of her shell at her pace. A fenced in yard is a requirement for Roo. Roo is fostered in Brunswick, Ga. If you are interested in making Roo part of your family, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Halo has one of the best personalities for a puppy that was previously scared of people. She is now an outgoing and loving girl that now follows her foster family around wanting attention. She loves to play with other dogs and puppies, doesn't pay attention to the cats in her foster home, loves food and treats, and is working on house training and crate training. She is a chunky little spit fire with the cutest little heart around her face. One of the funniest things that she does is grumble when she wants something or attention. First thing in the morning, she greets her foster family with tail wags, butt wiggles, and the cutest little grumble. Halo will be a great companion for any home that is willing to give her to love and attention she deserves. She will start out as a shy girl, but will blossom into a total sweetheart that loves you when she is given the time to adjust that she needs. Don't pass her up! We can't stop smiling when we see pictures of Sadie... so imagine how happy she'll make you in person! This absolutely beautiful gal is a Border Collie mix, and about 3 years old. She lived in a loving home with a couple who unfortunately weren't able to keep her any longer. She's a happy, energetic girl, and you won't be able to take your eyes off her... she has a distinctive white, spotted coat, with a fluffy tail and ears. And what a smile! She's already spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots, and ready to go home with you. Please come share some smiles with Sadie!
