This dog has been at the shelter for over four months waiting for a home. Because they have been waiting so long, their adoption fee has been discounted by half, making them just $45 to adopt!They may have been overlooked, but that doesn't make them any less special or any less deserving of a loving home. Long-term residents are just as worthy of being chosen as any other dog or puppy. Sometimes, they simply need a little more time for the right person to find them. ❤️Please come by the shelter to meet this dog in person! Our staff would be happy to tell you more about their personality, what they enjoy, and what type of home may be the best fit.Four months is a long time to wait. Maybe today is the day someone finally chooses them. 🐾❤️ADOPTION PROCESS:Our adoption process is simple and straightforward.Start by completing our pre-screening application: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCApplications are typically approved or declined the same day. Story
Bandit is a very sweet boy! He is ecollar and prong collar trained. He is reactive with other dogs and people entering his space but with the right experienced person, I think this could be very limited. He has environmental and food allergies so he's on Apoquel and Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein. We also wipe his paws every time he comes in the house with chlorhexadine wipes. He takes a probiotic, fish oil, and Fluoxetine for anxiety. He loves to cuddle, go to the beach, and play fetch. He is very intelligent but does not like his crate, can be destructive when left alone. He has so much energy and absolutely requires a yard and lots of exercise. We are currently in an apartment with busy jobs and can't provide him with what he needs. His medications and food costs are just too much and he doesn't like new people in the home so travel is impossible. He is an amazing boy, we just want what's best for him and to get all the care he needs. 4.5 years old and 27ish pounds.

Ok this is heavy heart post. Matchi is an Australian shepherd toy pure breed adult female dog. She is great with children very protective very accepting and just overall very cuddly. She was trained to be emotional support dog and does well. She walks on the leash well with kids BUT she has extremely strong prey instincts and herding instincts. She takes off running after people grabbing their ankles especially when they pass nearby kids. She also digs up trash when left alone for prolonged periods of time-believe she’s bored. She needs a big yard and will fetch all day long. She hates car rides and throws up within 15 minutes in even with meds from the vet.Sadly not a travel buddy. She’s good pet but must be active and busy and have strict rules and instructions given.Bad habits I think are due to boredom. She’s my son’s dog and he doesn’t exercise her enough. She gets along with dogs but can try to establish herself in a pack and won’t hesitate to jump onto Rottweiler. She loves food

Halsey is a sweetheart, but tends to be on the shyer side around new people until she feels comfortable and safe with them. She has thrived in her foster home where she is around many other dogs, older kids, and many many cats. She is curious about the cats, but will leave them alone when redirected. She loves to snuggle with other dogs and the person she is most comfortable with (her foster dad right now). She will do great in a home where she is allowed to relax and adjust to her new home with love and patience.

This boy is full of energy and never wants to stop. He would do well with a family that is active or semiactive. He is a goofy baby that will go go go until he's ready to pass out. You will then find him in silly sleeping positions that don't look at all comfortable. He's food motivated and ready to find is forever family. He may start out a little shy since he was born and raised by his feral mama, but it won't take him long at all! He is ready to make you fall head over heels in love with him.Freddy hasn't been introduced to cats, but he is a young puppy that shouldn't have any problems.
