Story
Meet Sandie: The Professional Snuggler & Aspiring Shoe Designer Looking for a dog who loves you "sole-fully"? Meet Sandie, a vibrant young pup with a huge heart and a cheeky sense of humor. Sandie is the definition of a "velcro dog"—she doesn’t just want your affection; she insists on it! Why You’ll Love Her: * The Surprise Snuggler: Sandie has mastered the art of the "stealth lap-jump." If you aren't looking, don't be surprised if you suddenly find a warm, happy dog claiming your lap as her throne. * Infinite Affection: She’s a girl who knows her worth. She’ll seek you out several times a day to ensure her "love tank" is fully topped off. * Youthful Energy: She brings a spark of life and playfulness to every room she enters. What She’s Working On: Sandie is currently in her "investigative phase," which means she has a particular passion for fashion—specifically your shoes! Because she loves to chew, she’ll need a home with plenty of sturdy toys to keep her busy and a family that can keep an eye on her (and their closets). The Ideal Home: Sandie would thrive with someone who: * Enjoys Puppy Antics: Someone who can laugh off her "interior decorating" attempts while teaching her what is (and isn't) a toy. * Has an Open Lap: If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be your best friend and personal shadow, she’s the one. * Keeps Shoes Behind Closed Doors: A little bit of management goes a long way with this enthusiastic chewer! Ready for a lifetime of surprise lap cuddles? Sandie is ready for you!

Story
Nikita is a three year old Australian Shepherd who has spent her whole life on a peaceful 14 acre farm. She lost her person this year, when my mom passed away. Nikita went to live with a close family friend. She had known their dog for years, so we hoped it would be a smooth transition, but the home is loud, busy, and full of other animals, and it has been overwhelming for her. She loves people with her whole heart. Every age and stage. She lets kids climb on her, cuddle her, and she follows them around like she has a job to do. Outside is her happy place. She could run, explore, take a dip in water, then curl up on your pillow for a nap. She is smart and very motivated by attention and praise. She would do well with structure and someone who enjoys a dog with an active mind. At this time, Nikita does not do well with other dogs. She is not aggressive in general, but she reacts when she is stressed and has bitten the resident dog in her current home. I strongly believe this is rooted in grief and confusion combined with being forced into a shared space after living her entire life alone with one person. Cats are unknown. Farm animals have always been fine. She needs a calm home with no other dogs, where she can have time to decompress, feel safe, and remember that she is loved.

Story
Meet Nikita, a 6-year-old spayed Australian Shepherd looking for a loving home. She spent her whole life on 14 acres with my mom, who recently passed away, and I am trying to honor her by finding Nikita a safe home where she can be happy. She is wonderful with kids of all ages, loves people, and is a loyal, smart girl who learns quickly. Nikita needs to be the only dog in the home. She can be dog-aggressive due to jealousy and is not comfortable in multi-dog settings. She would thrive with space to run, a yard or acreage, and someone who can give her structure, love, and activity. She has lots of energy and loves the go-go-go lifestyle typical of Aussies. I cannot keep her due to having other pets, but she deserves a home that understands her needs. Rehoming fee: $250 (negotiable for the perfect home).

Story
Gunner is an incredibly handsome senior-ish (8-9 yo) neutered male Aussie mix and is looking for his forever home and family. This boy knows his basic commands…come, sit, shake, high five and stay/wait. Gunner is good on leash and enjoys walks and hikes. He does have selective hearing when he is busy. He enjoys playing ball and frisbee, is great in a vehicle and loves a pup cup!! Gunner is selective about his friends and would do well with a chill older female. Gunner also believes he would be happy just hanging with his humans (10 years and up) with all the attention for himself. (No small animals or young children. They make him nervous) Gunner would love to take walks with his person and go for rides!! Hikes in the woods are a plus. Great at the vet and groomer!! Gunner loves the RV and enjoys being a travel partner. Gunner is such a love bug and needs a person to love, his own home and yard. Let’s get #rescuestrong and give this boy the life he is deserves!! If you’re looking for a fun, handsome loving and dapper senior gent, Gunner is your guy! He is currently located in Chattanooga TN but can travel….he loves that!! Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.
