Story
Ragnar is a strikingly handsome Australian Shepherd/Border Collie cross. He came in with over 20 of his kin from a large-scale owner surrender case, and he is the last one of the group to find his forever home - And we couldn't be more surprised! This beautiful boy is sweet-natured, playful, loyal, and a wonderful dog. Ragnar's life started out a little rocky. He was under-socialized and had never experienced the world outside his home. But after his arrival to HES, and with plenty of patience, confidence building, and lots of treats, he's blossomed! At first meeting, Ragnar can be shy, but once he trusts you (and maybe sneaks a few snacks from your hand), his loving personality shines through. When he warms up, he’s incredibly affectionate and will happily remind you just how much you mean to him. He's been working with our training team on his confidence, leash manners, and basic obedience, and has excelled! He's gone on off-site walks around downtown, experienced new situations, and has learned so much in his time here. Continued training would be very important to his mental wellbeing after adoption. As a smart and driven working breed, Ragnar will thrive in a home that can give him plenty of mental and physical outlets. He loves playing with other dogs, likes a good game of chase, and he’s become a very polite leash walker who enjoys his daily outings. He'd appreciate a home with another dog to play with, and would do best without young children in the household, but teens and up would be fine. Ragnar is ready to take the next step—finding his forever family. Could it be you?

Story
Gunner is an incredibly handsome senior-ish (8-9 yo) neutered male Aussie mix and is looking for his forever home and family. This boy knows his basic commands…come, sit, shake, high five and stay/wait. Gunner is good on leash and enjoys walks and hikes. He does have selective hearing when he is busy. He enjoys playing ball and frisbee, is great in a vehicle and loves a pup cup!! Gunner is selective about his friends and would do well with a chill older female. Gunner also believes he would be happy just hanging with his humans (10 years and up) with all the attention for himself. (No small animals or young children. They make him nervous) Gunner would love to take walks with his person and go for rides!! Hikes in the woods are a plus. Great at the vet and groomer!! Gunner loves the RV and enjoys being a travel partner. Gunner is such a love bug and needs a person to love, his own home and yard. Let’s get #rescuestrong and give this boy the life he is deserves!! If you’re looking for a fun, handsome loving and dapper senior gent, Gunner is your guy! He is currently located in Chattanooga TN but can travel….he loves that!! Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family.
