We adopted him from Once Upon a Prayer Rescue in O'Fallon, IL. He is 4 years old. He is a very anxious dog and has a hard time just sitting next to us, but when he does it is so heartwarming. We did anxiety medicine for a bit to see if we noticed a change and we did, but we couldn't afford it anymore. If you have a front window, then he is constantly looking out it. He will bark at anyone who is walking in front of the house. You will always know when someone is here. LOL. He is an attention seeking dog. Loves to go on walks but doesn't like to be outside by himself in the backyard. If he gets out of the backyard, he will go to the front door and scratch at it because he can't stand to be away from you. Don't leave food out on counters or else he will jump up and snag it. He went to obedience school. He is a big dog but thinks he is a little dog which can be an issue with kids and cats.

Roscoe is just an absolutely outstanding boy. He makes no mess in his kennel and is very gentle and well mannered on leash. We have paired Roscoe with various other dogs and he is always tolerant and playful. Please come down to Macoupin County Animal Control and view Roscoe for adoption. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12.

Story
Maisie is a 55lb, 2-1/2 year old, 3/4 Bernese Mountain Dog-1/4 Australian Shepard Mix. We adopted Maisie from a lady that was needing to rehome her due to a housing situation about a month ago. Our issue with Maisie is that she doesn't get along with our 2 indoor cats, as they have become skittish of her and their eating habits have changed significantly because they are being herded. Then at night Maisie will only sleep until 2 or 3am in her crate as the cats move around the house and get her attention. Someone is usually home with her most of the day and once the cats settle in for the day Maisie settles down and is calm and contented to be by your side and follow you around the house a bit. Ideally, Maisie would find a home with no cats to herd or distract her and a fenced in yard to let her stretch her legs and get the zoomies out. Also, she loves to go for car rides and is very calm as she travels.
