Story
Scoob is a 7-month-old Aussie mix who is full of youthful energy and enthusiasm for life. He’s house trained and enjoys having the freedom to choose his favorite sleeping spot around the house rather than being crated. Scoob is a playful, active boy who loves running in the yard, going for walks, chewing on a good bone, and entertaining himself with toys. He would thrive in a home that enjoys an active lifestyle and can help him burn off his energy in healthy, positive ways. Scoob does well with other large dogs and would love a canine friend who can keep up with his playful spirit. Because he has a strong prey drive, a home without cats or small animals is recommended. His energy and size also mean he’s best suited for a home with older children, as he can accidentally knock over little ones when he’s excited. A securely fenced yard is ideal for Scoob since he loves outdoor play and prefers not to potty on a leash or tie-out. Scoob is still very much a puppy and will benefit from continued training, structure, and patience as he grows into the great dog he’s meant to be. With the right environment, plenty of exercise, and guidance, Scoob will make a fun, loyal companion for an active home ready to embrace his happy, energetic personality. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. Records are sent via email. Paper versions are available upon request. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile above. After we review your completed survey, we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sunday and Monday and will not be processing any applications on those days. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!

Story
Zayne is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 38 pounds who was found as a stray with his brother, Bayne. While their early story is a mystery, Zayne is very much an open book when it comes to affection and joy. He’s the confident brother, greeting the world with a happy tail and a big heart. Zayne is extremely friendly, outgoing, and eager to soak up all the attention he can get. If you’re looking for a dog who believes there is no such thing as too much love, Zayne is your guy. He’s always ready for pets, praise, and companionship. Zayne enjoys having his brother around and clearly values canine companionship, but he does not need to be adopted with Bayne. He'd likely love to have a canine companion in his future home. He would do well in a home ready to embrace his affectionate, social personality and give him plenty of love in return. Zayne is the kind of dog who makes fast friends and fills a home with happiness. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
