Red Merle Rachel came to us from a kill shelter in indiana. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 12/12/22 and she currently weighs 32.8#. We were told she is not good with cats, but our cat test did not result in any bad interactions. Update - after being adopted for a few years & living with other dogs, Rachel was returned for having bad behaviors with other dogs. We are including some photos from her previous owner with other dogs. This shows that she can been in space with other dogs. A trainer was not contacted before her return & we are consulting with our trainer about the behavior. We know there was a change in environment that occurred. Regardless, at this point, she needs someone with experience with herding dogs and a home with no children. We are not sure she can't share space with another dog with the right owner. If you are interested, let's talk! She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm negative & tick illness negative. She had a dental cleaning. Her adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport.Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with her forever home. ##1767366##

I’m under 4years old as much as I love my friends here I really would LOVE a foster or forever home that can help me along- I have had a hard time training due to being deaf and some people just don’t understand me:( I would require a new parent to be very understanding and knowledgeable regarding hearing impaired pets or willing to work with me. I have been returned a few times due to my mouth getting me into trouble:( But, I know my forever home is out there!!! I’m the best girl ever I promise and I would LOVE a place to call home for now or permanently that has prior experience with a deaf puppy!!!”   ##575157##

I will fit best with somebody who is willing to invest in dog training and has experience with herding dogs. If you give me a little time to learn what you want from me, I know I will make you happy. I prefer a human with an active lifestyle and want a fenced yard to run in to keep me physically active. Since I'm a very intelligent dog, I would love to have my brain challenged! I would prefer a home without other animals or children. I have some arthritis in my hips and the vet has found a protocol that keeps me comfortable.
