Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Summertown, TN Mr. Man is a 2 year old Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix and weighs 70 lbs. He is neutered and microchipped, but isn’t up to date on shots (except for rabies) or on heartworm prevention. Mr. Man is great with kids, cats, and dogs! He is housebroken, but isn’t crate-trained. Mr. Man can herd his people and will playfully wrap his mouth around their hands and feet when he is excited. Mr. Man is positive for heart worms and is currently being treated using doxycycline and mixidectin (vie topical advantage). He was originally found as a stray, but his owner was never found. He needs to go by 5/26! If you think you can provide a great home for Mr. Man, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Mr. Man. Owner’s Contact Information: Ell Kindfield at (931) 242-1639 or kkalucard@gmail.com.

Story
In Murfreesboro, TN - Huck is a high-energy, medium velro young chap who is ready to find his forever home (and he’s hoping it comes with a canine buddy). He’s a lean 50 lbs, Australian Shepherd ,about 1-2 years, housebroken, neutered and up to date on shots. Huck is great at follow the leader, he looks for direction from his foster brother for everything… from play style to mischief and everything in between. He would do best in a home with another active dog who enjoys playing. Favorite games include chase, wrestle, keep away and tug. His herding instinct is prevalent during playtime, he will nip and herd to get his canine friends to engage. His face lights up with joy when they take the bait and play chase! Huck has yet to learn the meaning of a straight line on walks, finding nearly everything fascinating. He still has work to do on loose-leash walking; a no-pull harness has helped significantly. He’s very interested in fast-moving objects, 10/10 would chase cars if he was able, so a confident leader is needed. Huck is primarily interested in canine friends, but is quick to cuddle when invited and would sleep in as long as possible! Huck is not a fan of being crated, though he can be enticed with a treat. He doesn’t do well if left alone (as demonstrated by his expert demolition of a soft crate), but has proven he can be left home un-crated if supervised by his foster brother. He’s super friendly with strangers however has not been tested with cats or kids. Mealtime is a highlight of the day; dogs are fed separately at his foster home and he does well, but has shown he’s willing to protect any high-value food he may stumble across (like chicken). He’s eager to learn for treats! Huck will be a fabulous addition to an active household with a canine buddy or pack he can join! His oversized paws will take up an oversized spot in your heart ? ?? Currently fostered in Murfreesboro, TN (if adopted in the area his foster brother would LOVE to have play dates). Here is the link to the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/available-pets There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Bilbo is a pure-bred Australian Shepherd. His favorite past times include: playing catch, going on walks and snuggling on the couch. He is extremely intelligent, loving and committed to his family. Unfortunately we are looking to re-home Bilbo as our family is moving and will likely need to downsize our living arrangement. Bilbo sleeps great at night in a crate.

Story
We got Dixie as a puppy. She is almost 5 and much calmer but has a lot of energy and is used to a large fenced in yard. She loves to take naps and cuddle at the end of the day. She has lived with two children her whole life and acts like their mom. Dixie loves to play catch and fetch and loves to herd balls. She is very vocal about her needs so she is easy to figure out. Dixie is very food driven. She also sneaks it off of the counter or table if you are not looking. She will come to you with a trainer clicker for a treat. She knows sit, lay, roll over, turn around, kennel, shake a paw, high five and a few others. She is kennel trained for night and goes there whenever we ask her to. She hates fireworks and being alone. She is a master at dog puzzles and has alerted me to smoke in the house. I have anxiety issues from a past dog that has lead me to rehome Dixie. I can not walk her or take her places. I can not treat her fairly. She deserves all the love and attention. Please consider.

Story
Koda is an amazing dog who is use to a one person owner and No other Pets Family. Unfortunately his Pet owner is now ill and disabled and cannot give him the Love and Attention He deserves and requires. He is house trained and Crate trained. He will sleep in his crate but would prefer to sleep with his owner. He is very vocal when letting you know someone is at the door but other than that he is not a house barker. He does get separation anxiety and does not like the Veterinary Office or Groomers and Can be a little Jumpy. He does not like Cats at all. He will tolerate other small dogs but prefers not to be bothered especially if he is relaxing next to his person. He Loves toys and playing fetch. He would make someone who is experienced with and looking for an older dog to enjoy their time with very Happy. He deserves to be free and not crated most of the Day!
