Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)

Story
Meet Simba — he needs a forever home in the next 3 weeks. • 8 years old
• Neutered & housebroken
 • Best as the only dog • Rescued from the streets of Memphis
 • Later brought to a shelter in Nashville
 • Previously adopted, but sadly abandoned due to eviction and then was abandoned and rescued • Developed protective behaviors from his past — not aggressive
 • Currently in training and making great progress • Needs a patient, consistent owner who can provide clear boundaries
• Trainer will support him (and you) for life We know Simba’s forever home is out there — he’s already been given a second chance, and now he deserves his last one.

Story
New baby - 2 under 2 in my house- I can’t keep her and am no longer a good home for Lennox. She makes an excellent companion dog- loves car rides, boat rides and being around her human(s). She’s a good cuddle bug but also will take her space. Great for a retiree or an active family. Possibly formally trained but I don’t know her commands. She will get between your legs and look up at you waiting for instructions- can sit, lay down, and spin by command. Third owner, one from my family and the other as an abandoned stray.Estimate about 8 years old.

Story
Odin came to us having had both of his eyes just removed at the shelter as they were both in extremely rough shape with several issues. He was a stray that came in with another dog but his buddy did have to be humanely let go at the shelter d/t having a tumor. Odin seems ok with other dogs but with having completely lost his eyes he does need to be around them for a bit before he is ok with them and gets used to them. He does seem to prefer female dogs so far vs male dogs-though the male dog we have had him near was in tact and just recently neutered so that may effect that energy. But Odin LOVES people and such a sweet love to humans! Odin has adjusted GREAT to life without his eyes, much better than a human would, and gets around amazingly! He likes to be outside but truly he likes to be where he knows and can sense you are near. He comes to his name and you can guide him along verbally and his hearing seems to be intact. He does need to lose some weight so we are hoping the more active he is now that his sutures have come out and he has been cleared to be active that that will help! He does also seem to be mostly potty trained now that he has gotten used to the routine and walks well on a leash and is easy to redirect and walk along! He can be vocal when you leave him and we did have him on Trazodone when he first came to us with lots of crying and pacing happening, but again now that he has learned the routine that seems to be diminishing and we have since taken him off Trazodone though he may need it to get used to a new home. He also may not like being behind barriers as an Australian Shepherd so that could also not be helping! But he does seem to have some separation anxiety that we feel like is getting better. Because he can be vocal we dont think he would be appropriate in an apartment setting.  July 10, 2026, 10:03 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Fanta! Fanta is an affectionate, smart, and lovable puppy who is ready to find a family of her own! She's been sleeping in a crate at night and does wonderfully, staying clean with no accidents. We're still working on house training during the day, but she's making good progress.  Like any typical puppy, Fanta loves her toys—but she also enjoys a little variety! If you leave a shoe, sock, or anything interesting within reach, she'll happily claim it as her latest treasure, so puppy-proofing is definitely recommended. Fanta is vocal in the sweetest way. She doesn't bark excessively, but she'll let out an adorable, low little bark when she's trying to get your attention or if she's a bit unsure about something. One of the best things about Fanta is how affectionate she is. If you squat down to pet her, she'll practically melt right into you. She loves being close to her people, is eager to please, and is incredibly smart. She comes every time I call her and has been a joy to work with. She gets along beautifully with all of my other dogs and has a very humble, submissive personality. I'd describe her as having a medium energy level—happy to play and explore, but also content to relax with her family. I think she'd make a wonderful addition to a home with children. She also does great with baths, making grooming nice and easy. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate puppy who is eager to learn, loves people, and wants nothing more than to be by your side, Fanta is ready to steal your heart.
