Near Portland: This handsome boy is Brody. Just look at those amazing eyes! They will make you fall in love with him. He knows his basic obedience (sit, down, stay, place, leash walking), is crate trained, and is also working on muzzle training! He is around 7-8 years old and is mostly an Aussie/lab mix. He is neutered and current on his immunizations. Brody is a smart, loving, and affectionate dog who enjoys learning, adventuring, hiking, running, and exploring the outdoors. He is looking for a home, preferably with someone who is active, and would do best in a home without young children. He would thrive as the only dog in the home due to some resource guarding issues around other dogs. When it comes to chews/bones, he can become extremely possessive, so his future home should be mindful about keeping these things out of his environment entirely to set him up for success. Brody has also been on a carefully monitored diet to help him reach a healthier weight and would benefit from continuing his weight loss journey! (Currently down to 90lbs, and should be 65-70lbs) If you’re looking for a smart, loyal, and adventurous companion, Brody could be the perfect addition to your life. He’s eager to bond with his person and ready to thrive in a home that understands his needs. She`s smart as a whip and LOVES to show off all her training! From sit to `With me` (Her heel command) she`s very in tune with her handler! She thrives with positive reinforcement, and treats; she is not picky. Rain or shine, this girl loves to be outside walking on the trails and putting her nose to work- if you`re looking for a scent work dog, or even trying out barn hunt, Orie would excel in this line of work! She has a high prey drive towards small critters (She is a rat terrier mix after all!) And is looking for a home without cats or other dogs. Meet Mary! 🖤🐾 Mary is a beautiful 2-year-old Border Collie who was surrendered in the South and is getting ready for her fresh start. She will be making the journey north to Maine on March 15th, and she cannot wait to find a family to call her own. Mary is full of love, personality, and fun. She’s a gentle girl with the sweetest nature and will happily roll right over for daily belly rubs—it’s one of her favorite things! She loves spending time with her people and enjoys being active, whether it’s going for walks, running around outside, or exploring new places. Currently about 60 pounds, Mary is a little on the “thick” side and will benefit from a family who can help her get back into shape with regular exercise and activity. Luckily, Border Collies love to stay busy, and Mary is ready to get moving with her future family. She will arrive spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped—all ready for her new life. Mary is a gentle, loving girl just waiting for someone to see how special she is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love (and ask for plenty of belly rubs), Mary might just be your perfect match. 💕🐶
