Story
UPDATE!!  We just don’t understand how this sweet boy continues to be overlooked. He’s been with us over a year and he is so deserving of a home to call his own! Meet Jax! This Lab/Aussie mix is 2 year old and 43 lbs. He was adopted as a puppy but sadly his parents divorced and he had to be returned. Jax is one cool dude. He’s happy, playful and doesn’t meet a stranger — human or fur friend! He loves to play outside, loves to romp around with other pups and kids and lives for the water. He’s a happy go lucky boy and would be perfect for a home that’s active and up for adventure because he loves it. While he is an active boy he also very much enjoys chill time on the couch with his people and cuddling in the bed. Jax is great inside and in a crate. He’s fully utd, neutered and ready for a home to call his own. Jax is really the perfect family pup!  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption.  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up.  Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. We will try to answer all questions and applications in a timely manner. Please be patient and bear with us . Do not contact Parkway Animal Hospital as they are a vet clinic and can not answer questions on behalf of Wags and Whiskers. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding.  ADOPTION APPLICATION  https://form.jotform.us/70898112177159Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 23, 2024, 11:37 pm

Story
UPDATE!! One of our amazing volunteers worked endlessly to catch this sweet litter of 6 that were dumped and had been living on the streets for several weeks. Thanks to some amazing fosters that stepped up we were able to get these beauties to safety. They are slowly coming around and learning to be real puppies and their little personalities are starting shine! They appear to be lab/aussie/shepherd maybe! They are 10-12 weeks and 10 lbs. they will be medium to large sized adults. They will be ready 4/24/24 after their second vaccines! Get your apps in now on these beauties!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Good with kids,
Story
Meet Mello, a lively and affectionate one year old border collie/lab mix who is ready to bring joy to your life! This energetic boy's enthusiasm is off the charts—he's always up for a game of fetch, a long walk, or a romp in the yard. Mello thrives when he has the chance to run and play, making him the perfect companion for an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures. Mello's outgoing personality makes him a delightful playmate, especially for kids. He loves squeaky toys and would be thrilled to have a basket full of them at his new home. Mello needs a family that can provide him with daily exercise and some training to help him channel his energy. Slow introductions with other dogs are recommended, as his exuberant personality can be a bit much for some. Mello is already neutered and can't wait to find a loving family to call his own—could it be yours? Let Mello bring his love, goofiness and enthusiasm into your home today! By adopting me today you will save the life of two pets -- you'll save me and that will make room for the Shelter to rescue and save another pet.
