UPDATE!! Meet Kujo! This boy came to us from our local county shelter. He’s an adorable Aussie mix. He’s around 2 years and 35 lbs. He was a little timid at the shelter when he first arrived but has turned into a total lovebug at his foster home. He’s still a little timid in new situations but does open up quick.. He has settled into foster care and is doing wonderful. He loves cuddles and is good on a leash. He just needs a little patience while adjusting. He’s utd, hw neg (tested below detectable levels) and neutered. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Hazel is a super sweet 7-year-old Miniature Australian Shepherd weighing just 13 lbs. Don’t let her size fool you; she is full of energy, personality, and love. Hazel adores playing tug and fetch, is highly trainable, and knows lots of tricks. She is housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained. Hazel’s Ideal Home:
 Hazel struggles with anxiety and can be fearful of new people. It takes her a little extra time to get used to new people. When guests visit, she usually needs her own quiet space. She does not get along with other dogs or with very young children, which is why we are seeking a new home for her. Hazel would thrive as the only pet in a household with no young kids (older children or adults only). She would be a perfect match for an active family or individual who enjoys spending time outdoors and giving her plenty of play and exercise. Hazel is a bright, loving, and adventurous little dog who deserves a forever home where she can feel safe, cherished, and included.
